Yep! But considering the state of the world the average pot smoker is a oasis of sanity!

What I mean is, of course there's nothing wrong with the plant until you ingest it - just like there's nothing wrong with mercury until you ingest it. Or with bullets until they are inserted into human bodies at a high velocity.

but this is what you are telling people:
weed + human = lazy human (as a result of weed)
so therefore
bullet + human = dead human (as a result of bullet)
--------
My reasoning:
weed + human = lazy human (as a result of the humans choice to be lazy)
bullet + human = murder (as a result of the humans actions)

Weed is OK I think. It can make some people lazy, but equally it can inspire, give you a new perpective on something or just make you rock out even more to good music. It's no coincidence that lots of musicians and artists smoke weed.

This whole weed = lazyness is bull. After I smoke I go exercise more than I would sober.

Zeus, I've been smoking allmost every day for about one and a half year.
That period went by like in a dream. In the end I got kinda dissociative. I could be in a room with people and just not feel their prescence like I usually do.
Zeus, its quite simple. You smoke you get weird in the head
so... just a matter of cause and effect I think. Try quitting for a (long) while maybe?
weed can cause paranoia I think, better try looking through some official docs about it though. We're just a bunch of hobby doctors and -shrinks uphere.

all depends on the user, if the user has a history of mental problems it will have adverse effects.
I've been abusing canabis for 17 years, and apart from my short term memory loss and mild paranoia when using heavily, mentaly i am still ok

I think some non smokers probably think the smokers are like hunkered down in some smokey basement surrounded by bongs and black light posters.. (maybe some are!) but lots of people smoke, business people, polititians, police, doctors... theres no exact "type". I don't think it's a big deal. I'm not a heavy smoker, maybe 2 joints in the evening, just a good way to unwind or whatever. I'm not sat here in a Cypress Hill t-shirt doing a cheech and chong impression. ;)

Haha, this thread is ridiculous (interesting at the same time though).
If you go crazy from smoking, quit, and after a while you'll be fine. Some psychiatrist on tv said this, and I believed him.

lets see what may happen if you stop, Zeus. i paused smoking weed half a year ago and i feel as happy and unhappy as before, i have the same fears and become nervous in the same situations.
i feel a bit calmer though as if a lot of the time i dont care about anything.
to the laziness factor: it hasnt changed anything, so you are what you is and thats all it is!
while hanging around on dope, falling asleep on dope i had very good ideas and solutions to problems, because i really let go... i got inspired and made very detailled plans i have been able to put in action the next day very easily...
i miss that
while i have ben stoned its been a lot more difficult to follow a conversation.
i dont miss that :)
