How are you gonna chop you arm off with a cell phone fool?

the real moral is don't go hiking alone.
don't go hiking without registering at the trail head.

two easy things this "experienced outdoor's man" should have
done but didn't. He paid dearly for his lack of common
sense.

just saw him on tv again..

he had been lying there for 2 days already. he cut the skin,
then found he couldn't cut the bone with his blunt
knife.. he waited another day and then thought of snapping
the bones at his wrist. after that he cut it all away - he
says all in all it took him an hour.

he then had to walk another 8 miles before some (Dutch!)
hikers found him.

Yes...some would call it devine justice. You are right, God
made this happen to him.

It was trapped in the rock...sort of the reason he had to
cut it off in the first place.

He should have had Drft 7.30 with him. Then he would have
developed super human powers, lifted the rock and the he
could have threw it all the way to squash Saddam.

nope, thats wrong ha ha.

they did find it, only they found it weighed 1000lb and so
they couldn't get it out either (the man said he thought the
rock weighed about 200lb..).

to CUT IT OFF TO GET FREE. *taps his head*

Maybe he was smuggling rocks into his state and the
columbians trapped his arm as punishment?

if he was fit he could have moved that rock with his legs,
perhaps...

If the rescue crew couldn't shift it, I doubt he had much of
a chance.

That's just daft.

Everyone knows you can't teleport through rock, the waves
are messed up by the density.

Yes I have...I once pushed my girlfriend out of bed because
she was late for work. I never want to repeat that
again...imagine if she rolled on my arm, I might have to
chop it off with a penknife too :(

scrape it got him into.

i can't belirvr that. i mean imagine the situation: if you
had a sword or an axe, and you would chop your arm off at
once, then i understand it...

but he chopped it off in about maybe an hour or more....
imagine how he is getting slowly to his bone and then has to
really chop and chop till he's trough his bone...

yuk !!

offline tibbar from harrisburg, pa (United States) on 2003-05-10 04:09 [#00692721]

he broke the bones so he didnt have to shop them...

but it took him an hour... that means he maybe passed out...
or maybe couldnt bring himself to keep going once he
started... who knows what happened up there?

drugs....

nope... just 2 burritos and some water...

he said he absorbed the blood with a few extra pairs of
biker shorts he brought with him... never thought i would
ever say "thank God for biker shorts" hehe
