i feel totally shit about the UK governments role in all this . are we to be the perennial yes-men to the evil barbarism and lie-mongering of the anti-human republican movement ?
I'm from the UK, living in southeast asia , and i can honestly say the distance i have from home makes me even more aware of the absolute shit that this military- imperialist bush-regeime is really about.

for feeling personally agreived or upset that people are daring to slander your government for its wrongdoings around the globe , you kick back and say "enough" .
Jeezuss christ brother, an attack on a government that has imposed itself undemocratically first on the US, and now on the entire planet , is NOT an attack on yourself or the people in your community.....
But if you insist on giving your rulers an easy ride just in order to patriotically shun all this anti-US disquiet , then you ARE part of the problem .
'either you're with us or against us". I would love the american public so much stronger if they showed Dubya' they were against him, rather than just ordering the rest of the world to shut up and get off his back..

instead of criticising or generalising an entire nation (look at how some of you word things) why dont you aim for the one or 2 people you ARE talking about, instead of this chunk of land???

Washington DC is the site of many protests being held by thousands of people that have surrounded the white house twice. The multiple protests taking place have resulted in shutting down the rich area (of DC) and increased security. One of the more enjoyable protest groups, I do not fabricate this, are the Naked College Girls for Peace.
Give peace a chance.

The world says no to war! The problem is that the USA seems not to have democracy. How it is possible they want to install a democratic regime in Iracq?

I've brought up the same point before, artemis -- how can a country with one of the most easily corruptable electoral processes (and that's BEFORE you start not counting the votes of black people and people with similar last-names, or getting the vote stopped ! Like, all the money changing hands to get your name put forward as Presidential Candidate &tc)... how can this Government have the bare-faced cheek to have its puppet president stand up, face the world, and say that they're democratising the middle east?

The best part of any democratic society is their ability to voice thier opinion without having to leave (flee) their country.
Just remember that most people that come across as "anti-American" become vocal because of their disdain to the American goverment's treatment of it's own people (along with other counties), and don't want to see it happen in their own country, or want a change.
In my experience, the real anti-Americans don't complain about the war etc. and just stay at home and complain to their friends about what they dislike about the American people.
As for complaing, assuming that you're not complaining about these people yourself, it's one of the first steps into making a unifying front. Sure, it didn't stop the war, but the protests sure made me feel good about myself that I wasn't alone.
I think everybody has already made up their minds about this, and the worlds angry enough as it is without throwing more fuel in, so lets not insult each other for having our personal opinions.

The topic isn not so popular as a few days ago. It seems everybody is tired of the war. I have read more terrible news in the newpaper: The USA will attack our little country Belgium when we condemn people from the US-governement for crimes of war. Anoher amazing fact: there is a chance that Bush and Blair will receive the Nobel price for peace in 2004! No Joke! Our time is crazy: receiving the Nobel price for peace for making war and stealing oil.
