78 strings in all ; )

i have to say i am really bad in playing instruments due to
the fact i have super-small hands.. i can't stretch my
fingers even an octave on a piano. i get from c to g if i
want to _press_ the keys too :/

yeah i have been playing guitar for about six or seven
years.

started out in a punk band, then moved into a more acoustic
chilled out thing.

either way it has really helped with my electronic
compositions.... even glitch and noise shit.

TonePusher - sorry for pushing - but have you heard
"Cuttooth/Tounge tied"? Thats an amazing Radiohead-track
(b-side to a amnesiac-single)

Guitar is truly the tool of Satan.

Learning music theory on a guitar is like trying to tighten
a screw with a maggot. It's remotely possible, but don't
hold your breath.

Get a keyboard if you want to learn theory. Otherwise, shut
up and move your fingers thus and thus as they
tell you in the guitar magazines.

im self taught, been playing since i was 16 (8 years), and i
just started getting into theory... ill be honest, i find it
is easier to learn having the knowledge i gathered on my own
terms, than if i had tried to emulate a style or artist as a
young 'un. i dont know too much yet, but i am anjoying the
education.

Theory is definatly not important, like tibbar says, most
things are self taught.
I've learn't most things by playing around.

Well. There are musicians who get bogged down in theory
until they're trapped, but a nodding acquaintance with
chord/scale relationships never hurt anyone.

I had a friend who was taking guitar lessons who would never
try anything on his own, like improvising, because it might
not be "correct" and he would develop bad habits (like
enjoying music I guess).

Radiohead is a fantasmalistic band..

Their new album should blow every other musical (pop) act
away.
Even though Amnesiac and Kid A were pretty eerie in
themselves (but still awesome), they say this album should
be a lot more "poppy" with every song being around 3-4
minutes....
that's okay with me, as long as they are similar to "Lift"
(great song) or "2+2=5".

i have played guitar for around 20 years. never been real
good at it, but you dont need to be to do the sort of stuff
we were doing.

not real technical, just tight.

When they(Radiohead) say 2+2=5 will be pop/happy I think
they are just playing with us,thats the kinda thing they do.
