no

its the versterker

you know...

where you plug in your cd speler and your draaitafel and all
, the one with the volume knob

aah why didn't you say so then,
but a 'versterker' is also called a receiver i think

what's the difference between a receiver and an
amplifier???

eh sometimes youv got the reciever build in in your amp. The
amp, however, only amplfies the signal so your speakers can
use it

an amp is also the thing you plug your guitar in.
the reciever just recieves radio transmissions

(correct me here if im wrong)

well i think a receiver only receives those radio
transmissions if a tuner is build in (correct me i i'm wrong
:) LOL)

c'mon electronica-freaks help us out here!

damn your right

but i still think the amp is the thingey with the volume and
eq knobs on it

a receiver has a built-in tuner, that's right
else you have an amplifier (=versterker)

What's a VST? What's a VSTi?

"VST" s are FX,
"VSTi" are VST instruments. People often (incorrectly) group
the two together- calling "VSTi"s VSTs. If you follow all
that :)

I can't remember the acronym off the top of my head.

ceri....do you use fruityloops? if you like drumsyn you
gotta check out a little vsti called drum dragon. its really
good for making drum sounds.

i usually load about 10 of these in fruity, and link them
with a layer. great way of making custom kits.

Ceri JC,

Have you got a link to your stuff I don't think I've heard
any yet? Cheers.

can you ppl recommend some good VSTs?

I got some, but I need more :)

A marvellous thing is DFX Geometer, it places points on the
wave (using the method you choose), then recreates it using
another selected method. Unreal effects :)

Promo:

I've not ULed anything since Paraffin Psychic, but I've got
3 work in progress tracks nearly finished. I'll start a
thread on the MB when they're up...

Sequencers is a virtual/in depth drawing board for creating
patterns ie; melodies/harmonies or even drum
patterns/sequences

the sequencer is the heart of any "programmable" instrument
used in making electronic music...

the drum machine is just a box with knobs on it, capable
sometimes of sampling outside noises/sounds for use with its
internal components... set your parameters right on the drum
machine console and you can have yourself some pretty wicked
beats...

synthesizer is such a broad term... analog or digital...
what the fuck is a "synth"? for that... just read read
READ HERE

the programs that are most applied are a lot of the times
the most user-friendly... click some buttons, insert some
change, get your own sound into the overall mix and BAM
you've got a track....
