I see. But, personally, I prefer a better left/right
separation.

I recommend the Sony MDR 7506 for music production and
whenever you want to hear absolutely every detail with a
flat response. They're not like Sony's consumer grade crap,
not at all.

Oh yeah, there are advantages to listening with the "blobs
in the head" type thing. I'm cool with it myself. Speakers
and headphones are just two different listening experiences
unless you fix headphones to sounds more "natural".

<---
Sennheiser RS65 Wireless Headphones
Sennheiser HD570 Wired Headphones

Both 'cup' your ear and do not press against your ear so you
can wear them for a days without any issues.

I sleep with the wireless ones.

Yes, music sounds different with headphones - but it cannot
render soundstage properly - it depends on recording
techinque.

well, those are definitely the best in-ear phones in my
opinion. they are comfortable and sound great. got massive
bass and they keep most outside sounds out.

Well, the space is rendered unproperly in acoustic music,
but in electronic it doesn't matter since here we have much
broader soundscene. To reach it using loudspeakers you need
to sit in hot spot with few centimeters of accuracy! With
headphones we have no such problems - no need to sit few
hours in the spot. More details, accurate sound, less
resonances, especially in bass spectrum.

i'm all about little ones. i have a decent pair of sony
ones. the in ear ones bother me less but they still do
bother me and i usually give my ears a nice jabbing with a q
tip when i'm done with them. i can't wait until the nice
weather then i can ride my bike at night while listening to
all the recent cd purchases i have made.

ears...

i've got Bose TriPorts. $150US retail. great bass,
lightweight, and comfortable. don't know if they're worth
all that though.

do i get these:

Bose

or these:

Sennheiser

Sennheiser is about half the price of the Bose headphones,
would the sound quality be much different?

bose make the best looking headphones i've seen, and the are
lighter and smaller than others... unless the sound is poor
then i'm almost sold on them.

I bought some grado sr-80's best I ever heard. The best for
under 300 too.

Those are good, great staging for the price. Bit trebly
though. Some kinds of music I can't listen to in them. Super
for jazz though if you want to feel like the saxaphone is in
the room with you and the singer is whispering in your ear.

I have to put a winter had on my head cause the headband is
seriously uncomfortable. My only complaint.

I've got Grado SR80s and they're really good, but you need
to get the softer ear-pads or they're too uncomfortable.
