perhaps if you rate ;

style over content
homo-erotic brutality over the politics of conflict

then Fight Club is better.

I personally found FMJ to be more delicately handled and
have a more tangible purpose , making it more gripping.
Fight Club may have its stylish production merits, but the
two films don't really merit competing v one another, being
about different things and being made 15 years apart.

i would say full metal jacket makes a harder emotional
impact than fight club, which, whilst an excellent film, has
a pretty duff ending, and not that much to think about
