Cabbog is a troll, he's shadowing me! Look at that devious
look.

I find it funny how WATMM and Planet Mu regulars put this
site down, and we NEVER put them down... hmmm... ponder
THAT.

i can easely see why this board has this reputation :
everytime someone ask where to find this or that he gets
many responses guiding him towards soulseek... if this isn't
promoting mp3s... and its generaly electronic music from
warp/rephlex&co

astrobotnia mp3's rephlex kindly put on their site and
people have directed them to soulseek - how fucked is that?

This SITE doesn't endorse illegal MP3 trading, but the
PEOPLE on the site do. Phob has nothing to do with it. Why
blame him?

Blame Satanic evil motherfuckers like me. *snarl

it would be better if people on this site direct users to
the record label websites rahter tahn to soulseek sometimes
- they'd fine more music and more about the music

be realistic, most the people who ask will be wanting to get
the mp3s, in the end it doesn't make any difference

on label sites or any of the stuff about muscians

astrid...check that thread over at Planet-mu...

Mike himself says that he doesn't feel it's file sharing
that's affecting his sales...

and you're preaching to the converted here...most of us are
long term CD buyers who have supported the IDM scene for a
long time...

Easy to point fingers, my friend...less easy to think thru
some possible solutions...

that's not entirely true to be honest - and i'm not
pointing fingers i'm tryiong to point people in a newr
direction - my complaint is that record labels give away
reliable mp3's on their sites and there is loads of other
interesting stuff as well ..why give it to villans like soul
seek who make money from data etc by hosting stuff that's
not ligitematley put there ...
mike paradinas has changed his tune since that interview
posted yesterday then..

Soulseek doesn't make any money...it currently supports 1
bloke and only just & only very recently...so I don't really
see em as villians...

File-Sharing isn't going to go away...you have to take it as
a given and try and find a way to work with it, rather than
alienate your customers by treating em as theives (which
seems to be the current feeling)...

& yeah, Mike P is saying diff than that interview...maybe
he's got more info now, I dunno...

of you a wakeup call. i have zero idm albums on cd-r, if i'm

Oh man all those whinning record artists are getting on my
nerves. Do they actually know how many records are released
per week only in the in Electronic / Dance sector ?
About 300-400, theres more music than ever, of course they
are having a hard time competiting with their competitors.

Planet Mu, sucks anyway, Ive only downloaded a few Venetian
Snares mp3s, and they sucked anus.

If not for file sharing, I wouldn't have bought the few
Aphex albums that I do have.

Not that proves anything, I'm still a cheap college bastard
that won't buy anything, but at least they got SOMETHING out
of me.

i just think it's fucked that any of the following - fatboy
slim, prodigy, chemical brothers, basement jaxx, and groove
armada - outsell every artist on warp, rephlex, skam, ninja
tune, and planet mu combined.
