I`ve had loads of lucid dreams. I had one where I dreamt I
was an astronaut, and youknow what? I was actually workin
for NASA at the time. The scrambled egg and toast was nice
and stuff though bye

I've done it a couple times.

The first one I remember
I was dreaming I was at school and it was recess,
and while I was playing, I realized that it was a dream and
I could do whatever I wanted.
So when the bell rang to return to class, I told the teacher
'fuck off, this is a dream', and kept on with my happy
antics.
But she eventually convinced me it was real life and I was
sad.

we have all had lucid dreams.....we just don't remember
em...

i remember one i notived that there were people who i havent
seen in years, and i was too calm about things, thats how i
knew.

my latest scare was a dream in which i was in a black and
white film, kinda traped in the character i was playing, and
everything i did was externally controlled.....what scared
me was that halfway thru i realized it was a dream...but
couldnt get out, i was stuck in it no matter how aware i
was.......

what's interesting is characters in your dream are always
you...it's like holding your own puppet show.....so makes
some deep learning about your thought-pattern

I used to Lucid dream a lot when I was a kid, but I haven't
had one since, 15 years or so. I can still remember one
lucid dream in particular, when, on realising my dreamstate,
I began arguing with another character in my dream, telling
him that I created him. He got upset, I laughed and went
about my dream trying to decide what to do. I could never
fly, though, try as I might.

Yeah it is wierd the way all the people you meet in dreams
are created by you - Sort of changes my perspective on what
individuality really is.

I had a lucid dream recently. I have this weird thing where
I always feel like I'm wearing a retainer in my dreams, even
though I haven't worn one in real life in like five years.
So the other day I realized in my dream that it was a dream,
and it suddenly turned into an action movie. I was chasing
some Russian mob boss down the street and it was fucking
great.

I'm sort of confused about what it's like to not dream
lucidly. Are you outside of yourself, floating around on a
predetermined path, viewing events and images that you have
no control over? Are you yourself without any control over
what you do? Do you walk without trying and can't stop
walking if you wanted? Or, is it just that you don't know
that you're dreaming that keeps it from being lucid, even
though you can control your actions?

well its not a lucid/non lucid thing

i sometimes have semi-lucid dreams where i know its a dream,
but i cant shape my surroundings (i can when im lucid
dreaming)

non - lucid is just your subconciousness making up a story
and all, i think you are being yourself in a world you cant
change or influence.

lucid is you shaping the world

and then theres the in between part

my 2 cents

lucid drreams can suck my cock. i've neverr had one and
neverr want one. i wish when i was asleep i wasn't haunted
by events of the day. i have to interract with figurres
frrom my rreal life that i don't like anyway.
when i sleep i want it to be like i'm dead.

i can lucid dream. the way i do it, is to try to recognize
things that only happen in my dreams, like recurring themes
and things. you need to be kinda watching for these things
all the time, even when you are awake so that you get in the
habit of checking.
make a list of things that happen routinely in your dreams
and think about them often, even when awake.

for me, i look for things like:
1. inability to run fast, like running in a swimming pool.
2. brakes not working properly in my car or steering from
the back seat.
3. certain people from high-school appearing in my dreams.
There is one guy i knew in highschool, that i haven't seen
in years but for some reason he regularly shows up in my
dreams.
4. ability to breathe underwater.
5. firing weapons at people or punching people and doing no
damage.

if i notice any of this stuff happening, i know i'm
dreaming. then i can just do whatever i want. fly around,
fuck hot chicks, materialize objects in my hands, levitate
stuff yadda yadda.

im half intimidated and half curious to seriously train
myself for lucid dreaming - my sub-conscious is a dumping
ground for just about anything that has pissed me off .. but
i guess it does need looking into. apparently i talk a lot
in my sleep .. and i cant share a bed with someone cause i
always try to push them out of it :/

and it is most pleasant :)

i have the problem of waking up when i realize i'm dreaming
sometimes. it's difficult to control but it is controlable,
like flexing a little used muscle.

other things i look for to realize i'm dreaming:

1. i'm back in highschool and i can't remember what class
i'm supposed to go to.
2. i'm not wearing pants, just a huge t-shirt.

these things are a dead give away to me that i'm dreaming.

sometimes when i realise i'm dreaming and I try to take
control i wake up, a bit annoying.

I can wake myself when i'm in a lucid dream, a bit useless
though as you can't tell what time it is :)

i had a lucid nightmare where i was brutily face stabed with
a stailness steel knife by a half penguin half man in a
shopping mall. i could feel every single stab, in my eyes
nose brain mouth neck.
whoa... now im remembering it again, shit.

hhmmm I'm not sure if that would be considered lucid, in a
real lucid dream you won't be scared of anything, or feel
fear.

Unless you decided in the dream that you wanted a
panguin-man to stab you in the face... why you would do
that, I have no idea...

no, even lucid dreams have subconsicous unexpected things.
that peguin must have represented something. maybe my ID, or
superego. all i know is that i was gleefully knowingly in a
dream, roaming around a shopping mall with millions of bucks
buying everything i ever wanted and then this peguin guy
starts killing all the ppl in the mall and then kills me.

usually my dreams become lucid once i start to get scared.
at that point i realize that they're not real and switch
over to lucidiness. the other night i was pulled over by a
cop in my dream and was worried as fuck because my driver's
license has been expired for 12 days now and i'm borrowing
my friend's truck, which i'll lose if i get another speeding
ticket in. but i went, "wait, this isn't real" and decided
to wake up because i had a few dreams earlier that night
that didn't go so well. what usually lets me know that
something is a dream and lets me take over is when things
quit making sense. i had a dream not too long ago where i
was supposed to go to work and i was going to be late. i
left an arcade to go, but i was further away from work than
i thought and i wasn't driving my own car. then somewhere
along the way, it became dusk and i was driving to work
before i even get up. about then i went "ah, just a dream.
now that the work issue is out of the way, let's go have
some fun in this car."
