Hahaha, I needed a good laugh.

Autechre boring? No way. I mean I believe Ae are the (THEE) most advanced electronica artists there are (they stand side by side of course to AFX, []<, BoC). They always surprise me and Im always hearing new sounds...it's truely incredible. I just read a post that had a link to their Interview. THAT WAS SO COOL! So I heard some new stuff today.
Ae.

There's a fine line between appreciating it and enjoying it. I can appreciate the fact that æ is out to find new sounds with their music, but do I enjoy it? Not really.
But hey different strokes for different folks.
And Zeus is right, it doesn't matter what others think, it's just about how you feel.

I love Autechre, although it's not universal to any mood for me... meaning, I can't usually listen to it any time, but when I'm in a mood for it... I really respect what they do, and each album of theirs I own is fantastic... but sometimes they do bore me...

Personally I don't rate BOC...but I know a lot of people do so I'm not gonna dis em...if we all liked the same stuff, how boring would that be??...

Orbital are NOT boring. . . it's just all their production work is consistently similar in certain ways. They are capable of many diverse things, and they may not be the gods that Autechre are, but I maintain that Orbital are one of the best electronica artists/groups/bands EVER!!!!
Don't agree? Listen to one of the best electronic albums ever made, and certainly the best by Orbital, "In Sides", and you will agree. Their music is increddible.

The thing with Autechre is that they aren't boring enough. There's so much to listen to that lots of people tune out the aforementioned "fine" details! It's like when I painting is too "busy" as they say. There's so much action, and lots of "busy" paintings (i.e. "Starry Night") are well-respected. I guess Autechre are the musical equivalents of Salvador Dali and Van Gogh!

Easy music = sweet. Autechre = sour. Sweet tastes good but soon becomes boring. Sour stuff starts tasting very good after a while of repeated use.
