I absolutely agree...if people are so easily offended then
why bother communicating. People say things all the time to
me that I could take offence at, but its just not
important..

that's because you know them personally -- and you
understand what they're saying.

people are most often afraid of what they don't understand.
it's typical human behavior -- nothing to be suprised about

but this is supposed to be a community and its a bit
pointless if everyone is completely anal about political
correctness...

P.C. has gone to such extremes that is itself offensive.
e.g. banning the nursery rhyme: Ba Ba Blacksheep

I mean WTF!!!

some people are just like that -- anal

plus it's the keyboard that you type away your thoughts on..
you don't actually talk so it's alot easier to be a jerkass
cos you aren't thinking as much as you would be in real life
about what your'e communicating

yeah, mad...its the same with showing any kind of patriotism
in this country, you run the risk of being portrayed as a
racist!

I actually think more about what i'm going to say when i'm
typing than in real life. On the net people can't bitchslap
me!

Yeah we have that situation here in sweden to.
If you for example have a t shirt with a swedish flag or a
viking you are often mistaken for being a racist.
Not that i would wear such things but i think its fucked up.
