"if you think anyone has going to watch their family, their brother or sister get shot and not go after the killer, you aren't human" i'm not saying we shouldn't retaliate (sp?), but i think that this situation could have been easily avoided/prevented. also, i think that it was this country's greatest mistake to elect bush to office, he literally had NO foreign policy to begin with. also, i thought this was interesting i don't have the exact quote, but while bush thought that the camera's weren't rolling, he said something allong the lines of "i can't believe i won. i was running against peace and prosperity" |

I understand the context in which you were saying this, but you are the worlds police because it is America's economic interest to be in control. "Our hand was forced, and if you think anyone has going to watch their family, their brother or sister get shot and not go after the killer, you aren't human." Its not that that gets to people, its that America takes a moral highground on so many things and then does an 'eye for an eye'. Therefore America can't expect to gain any respect because its seen as worse, a hipocrite. Also there are other ways to go about reacting to the situation other than bombing an already poverty stricken (mostly because the US & USSR didn't like playing out the cold war on their own soil) country. Also, as its been said, you should concentrate more on preventing these events happening, IMO you pay with fire, you most definitely are going to get burnt.
