my avatar is kurt goedel, exactly one second after he had
his great idea (if you haven't noticed anyway)

i have his work, i tried to read it but the proof is
somewhat technical, about 300 pages. and since it can be
explained without using maths i didn't go through it.
actually it's one of the most important thoughts of 20th
century. goedels approach was mathematical, if you're
interested in that read Wittgenstein: "tractatus
logico-philosophicus", Wittgenstein has a more logical
approach, if you read the book carefully (it only has 80
pages) you'll get 'enlighted'.

yo cheffe - respekt .. thought as much .. but i usually saw
pics of him in his latter day.

i've got the book "gödel, escher, bach" .. i'm intending to
do his proof at uni next year.. doubt i'll be doing all 300
pages tho.

yeah .. i fully think its one of (if not the) most important
thought of the 20th century, yet hasn't quite precipitated
into a lot of thought.

I'm also intending to get into some wittgenstein, at a later
stage :)

It has affected my thought in quite a profound way ... that
is difficult to explain, if not impossible, due to the
internal consistency i would display by explaining it :)

great stuff anyhow ..

not really like chaos, (as far as i know) .. tho that and
quantum mechanics is pretty cool also :)

if anything it undermines chaos!

hey, if you come to vienna be sure to check out the
Rathausplatz festival, they play open air opera every night
on a big screen; 8.000 people every night (entrance free,
it's open air)! you can eat the specialities from 30
countries all over the world. i go there as often as
possible.

ludwig wittgenstein

better do wittgenstein before goedel, if you read carefully
and remember the definitions that are made in the beginning
you will be given a epistemological headfuck on the last
pages!

i'm diggin quantum field theory now. it's a bit complicated,
but once you get the idea behind, it's great fun to mess
around with particles and quarks and stuff like that.

yeah i know i should .. dunno tho .. wittgenstein isn't
offered undergrad .. might have to read that book tho .. i'm
well into epistemology at the moment -

i'll do "metalogic" next semester, gödel is in the
"advanced metalogic" paper. i considered doing some physics,
but the prerequs are a bit of a pain, and i don't really
wanna spend that much time on it ..

you mentioned heidegger at the 'quote' - topic... if you're
interested be sure to check out the remix of a talk he did
back in '47 (i think) by Console and Ammer. it's a 30min
peace of awesome electro music over martin heidegger talking
about the Atomzeitalter.
