i didn't say anything about dr. octagon not being a good album, i mean i've played tons of it on my radio show. you missed the point; i'm saying that automator hasn't worked with many pure hip-hop artists (ie: something black people would listen to*, not upper-middle class whites who like electronica) except on the handsome boy modeling school album, and that's mostly cos of prince paul. *before someone gets on my case about that, obviously not all black people like the exact same emcees or even the same music. OBVIOUSLY. but my point is there's a major difference between what the average african-american hip-hop fan is into and what white idm kids like. |
