I didn't listen all the way through, but the tracks I heard just seem uninspired to me. BOC to me always meant a walk through a psychedelic forrest full of old overgrown trees. It was a journey, there was a point. And BOC was going to get me to that point. You listen to Kaini Industries and you immediately understand life. You know. You relate. Eagle in your Mind - and you can taste the desperate hope that holds us all together. I bought Tomorrow's Harvest and just... gave it a few listens and it did nothing. It said nothing. I'll try to give inferno a listen, but it sounds the same. Just generic, mildly technically interesting - but with nothing to say other than 'here's another album from a band that blew up your brain 20 years ago' It's like every smashing pumpkins album after Mellon Collie.... just a bunch of sounds. No soul, no journey to take the listener on. |
