lol @ lctroboy! that's fucking cool to fall asleep like
that...

when i was living in my old apt, and worked grave yard
shifts, i would come home, and play this converter track
called "death time" which starts out with this ultra loud
"ventolin-like" alarm clock sample over and over before it
kicked in the trademark converter distro beats/vox.

i never got and complaints to my face, but i knew that many
o ppl were very grald to see me leave.

and i did tons of other shit while i was there...i held big
ass parties, had ppl lobbie for group sex, walk around
setting off alarms, have merzbow set to play real fucking
loud in my camero whenever i started my car....

ahhh, the good ol' days.

i sat next to the teachers cd plaer, and played icct hedral,
and the teacher's fav student was all "this music is tooo
scary...turn it off" so, i had to put in somehting else...(i
wanted to be all "BITCH! SCAREY?! i'LL SHOW YOU SCAREY!" and
blast out some hardcore distro beats... but hell, i would
probably be called a terrorist, and be put in jail for
domestic terrorism...

No ones really Satanic. The term is biast and simply doesnt
exist.

Anywho....anything with a beat faster than 4-stone is just
asking for excommunication in these parts. I say we go
faster...maybe even revolutionize the porno industry with
sich blasphemy. --LMAO--

In my school there where two Black Metal dudes whearing
upside down krosses n shit who where making photos in art
class.
They where making evil photos of them wearing black and
white make up and leather with long spikes out in the dark
swedish woods.(pretty silly if you ask me)
The teachers where encouraging(spelling?) them and i guess
they got great grades.

That could never happen in USA ?

offline PhystPhukt from The Holiest of Holes (United States) on 2002-04-17 16:45 [#00180232]

That could happen here, and it does. As for th
woods.....SWEDEN!? Damn....thats cool.

I think it broatheir horizons in the sense that most of them
would have never heard or been exposed to my kind of music
unless I had brought it in. In the very least it's making
them more aware of other music, which is never a bad thing.
If they like or not is a completely different issue. I do
agree most "satanic" bands are only satanic on the outside,
just an image. I've actually have been lucky enough to meet
some of my fav. bands, and to my surprise a lot of them have
said "I know we're suppose to be evil and satanic b/c we
play black metal", kinda funny, but i do think some bands
are satanic to a degree, or at least believe they are

define the meaning of Satanic...not that "DEVIL WORHIPPING "
BS....

I don't quite know my place in school anymore. This may
sound over the top, but everyone's into either 'rock' or
gangsta rap. People do take the piss out of my musical
tastes yes, especially since they think its all 'dance'. I
played a friend some DJ Shadow and literally after about 10
seconds he says 'ah its not my kind of stuff'. Other people
I know referred to Shadow as 'background' music..., I mean,
wtf, how offensive is that, to insinuate you don't even need
to listen to it properly. The main problem is that no one
will ever go to 'idm' type events or anything with me, I'm
probably PAYING for a friend to go with me to see warp
artists in june...and that's almost a first. If I was into
rock I could go to the clubs that play it like eveyone else
and be part of the general population here and probably be
included more. I'm not really bitching, but it is a pain.

wow i thought it was different in uk?

I met lots of britts in Aya Napa last summer and they all
semed pretty down with all kinds of dance music styles.
I had great conversations with them about music.
Although sometimes i had trouble hearing what they
said......you people have lots of strange accents in uk.

Guess i only met the good ones aye?

Background music, Ive heard that one.
I have a friend here who refers to all AFX as "beat Mania",
or a term for repetitive music.
He will be ASSIMILATED.--glare--

Mainstream dance/electronic music here has really become the
'uncool' thing to be into in a big way, and so therefore
they think any dance music is. Once I find just 1 friend
into this music i'll be fine, but where..

To be honest though, I think there are very few teenagers
into it here, I think its more people in 20's whose tastes
have changed.

music.

And Sido, I *do* have lots of friends, its just they never
want to go to events with me!
Its like dangling a carrot in front of me since I live
