wikipedia:
The 1992 film Manufacturing Consent, was shown widely on college campuses and broadcast on PBS. It is the highest-grossing Canadian-made documentary film in history.[91] Chomsky's popularity has become a cultural phenomenon. Bono of U2 called Chomsky a "rebel without a pause, the Elvis of academia". Rage Against the Machine took copies of his books on tour with the band. Pearl Jam ran a small pirate radio on one of their tours, playing Chomsky talks mixed along with their music. R.E.M. asked Chomsky to go on tour with them and open their concerts with a lecture (he declined). Radiohead has recommended Chomsky's works on their various websites and Thom Yorke in particular is an admirer.[citation needed] Chomsky lectures have been featured on the B-sides of records from Chumbawamba and other groups.[92] Many anti-globalization and anti-war activists regard Chomsky as an inspiration.

Chomsky may be a bit paranoid, and he may embellish on some ideas. It doesn't discount that we are naive ants in the face of the largest and most influential corporate and government power dynamics. If you think they see us as anything more than then you really have no clue what their material world is like compared to our wants desires and daily impulses

LAZY_TITLE
noam chomsky said this on the 12 september 2001:
"The terrorist attacks were major atrocities. In scale they may not reach the level of many others, for example, Clinton’s bombing of the Sudan with no credible pretext, destroying half its pharmaceutical supplies and killing unknown numbers of people."
here is what keith windschuttle says:
This Sudanese incident was an American missile attack on the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum, where the CIA suspected Iraqi scientists were manufacturing the nerve agent VX for use in chemical weapons contracted by the Saddam Hussein regime. The missile was fired at night so that no workers would be there and the loss of innocent life would be minimised. The factory was located in an industrial area and the only apparent casualty at the time was the caretaker.
While Chomsky drew criticism for making such an odious comparison, he was soon able to flesh out his case. He told a reporter from salon.com that, rather than an “unknown” number of deaths in Khartoum, he now had credible statistics to show there were many more Sudanese victims than those killed in New York and Washington: “That one bombing, according to estimates made by the German Embassy in Sudan and Human Rights Watch, probably led to tens of thousands of deaths.” However, this claim was quickly rendered suspect. One of his two sources, Human Rights Watch, wrote to salon.com the following week denying it had produced any such figure. Its communications director said: “In fact, Human Rights Watch has conducted no research into civilian deaths as the result of US bombing in Sudan and would not make such an assessment without a careful and thorough research mission on the ground.”

They will tell you that if you stop believing in government conspiracys then the mind control is kicking in, the truth is the people in power are not monsters they want to keep everyone happy but there are times when sacrifices must be made and certain things happen that may be upsetting but they are neccecery for our survival.

9/11 wasn't necessary for our survival. It broke the government financially and made some people very rich

- banksy - the war was for oil - bush sucks
i remember the fucking sun running an ad on telly about a week into the invasion with a cowboy style revolver turning into a gas pump handle or something.
in america it's different i get that.

When i say terrorists i mean the US. A lot of people seem to forget that and i don't care what harm Chomsky seems to be causing as i just haven't been following him or his books for many years, but I was glad to read some of his stuff and it taught me a lot about the USA. He used to back his words with as many facts and proof as possible. It seems that's changed if i see how angry Ampi is regarding Noams.
Also i used to like Banksy way back when i could have bought some of his work for nothing. I don't see why i should now change my view even though i'm definitely 'uncool' or 'unaware' these days for it. I like his work and as a writer i admire his cheek and skills.

Experts and media figures are questioning the accuracy of Amnesty International’s new report on the human rights impact of the U.S. drone program in Pakistan, saying the study is marred by discrepancies, unverified claims, and dubious witness statements....................
.............Witnesses in the Mamana Bibi case also said the unmanned aerial vehicles in the area were flying in “pairs” or “three together.” Military reporter and commentator David Axe argued that this is highly unlikely considering current drone technology.
“The inability of drone pilots to see all around their aircraft—which are thousands of miles away—means drone formations are very dangerous,” Axe told the Free Beacon. “So it’s standard practice for drones to operate singly.”

This thread needs to die. AMPI you're a nutcase, mate! Enough copy and paste from whatever single source you get most of your venom from. You don't want to listen, you just blabber on the same old spite. And what is it with you and Chomsky, a person who writes books and none of which you have read? It all stinks to death and the original intent of the thread has backfired greatly.
Maybe i'm missing your point. What is it with you and drones? You seem like a lone man set on a mission when most people agree with you.
Do a new thread, AMPI, you can make it work!
