Congratulations to anyone who's been able to kick any life-ruining habit!!! Seriously. That's some proud-me shit, right there... *sniffle* (fo realz)
Though in some sort of irony or universal balance, I have tonight bought a few cans of this.
I'm not super into alcohol, though I "used to be" a stoner, so I suppose I can understand the condition when thinking about the whole thing analogously... I recommend all "alcoholics" to take up weed and move on! Well-- I suppose escapism can ruin, regardless of substance, but at least weed will give some insight into being. Alcohol is just... crude.
Okay, I'm gonna go get me another 22 oz can of crudeness... And watch chess.

yeah not such a good idea I used to be addicted to drugs (weed especially). Alcohol is fucking annoying though because it's a socially acceptable drug.
have gone 3 days now! was planning on going on a bar crawl tonight without drinking but fortunately I am sick so I can't go. no possibility that I will drink now :) was a pretty stupid idea anyway because I know I wouldn't have been able to control myself in that situation.

Weed is great, dyude. But seriously- even though I'm drinking Sapporo whilst typing this very post-- fuck alcohol. What a shit, especially when compared to ultra-superior alternatives such as weed, sex, love, or friends.
Water has CRAZY withdrawal symptoms, and I mean that seriously. Yet, the addiction to water is so accepted in all societies, that it's transparent. (and yah-- water is a necessity for physical life, but physical life is not a necessity.......) So really, "addiction" is not a problem, in and of itself. Sometimes, it can result in magnificent things. Addiction to production can result in awesome chooonage, or addiction to painting can blow people'z ballz off.
There's a huge reason why "movie stars" rarely have "problems" with drugs (besides "dying"), and that's because they have money. Addiction is fucked, cuz people allocate their energy resources toward acquiring/experiencing a substance, to the point that they harm their enjoyable-longevity. Heroin addicts become junkies, etc. But with much money, not much of a problem. Like Japan used to be the biggest importer of meth, but there's no junkie culture there, whereas in America, there's TONS of junkies in every city, which can be seen by just looking at the prematurely-aged faces.
Context is an amazing biznatch.
