i tell you something. you can be a fanboi, you can be a
hater, the missions might be absurd, out of context,
illogical and hell knows what but everybody has to admit
that this game (i'm talking of the campaign of course) is
FUCKING EPIC. it's epic beyond words, defining the word new.
i finished it in two sessions but i'm soaked, my pants are
full of cum and my fingers hurt.

a pity it was that short. in fact i would consider this and
mw1 as one game. it should really be released as a add-on.
paying two times the full price for two times 8+ hours of
gameplay is a bit harsh.

and i played it on hardened. regular might be even less then
6 hours.

i did mw1 to halway on veteran then dropped it. it seems
just like you are walking with a big flag and a clowns
costume on with every single bullet aimed at you.

yes, this game fucking rules. Campaign, ace. Multiplayer,
kick-ass as always... and Special Ops. short and fun as
fuck. you guys tried the spec. ops yet? if not, I would
recommend doing so, nice mini-missions

Yeah I've been playing split-screen spec ops a lot. It's
great, all the multiplayer bits are great! It's such a shame
the single player is such crap.

it does look like a pretty average arcade run/gun shooter

what makes this a good game?

I finished the story yesterday and although I enjoyed it, it
felt as though they've mostly just replicated the story of
Call Of Duty 4 (and a lot of the COD series,) but transposed
the locales. It was fun and interesting, nonetheless.

When u read this article, u won't believe that the
guys giving the answers have ever produced games for the PC.
I think they have been hit on the head too many times by
console gamepads. I'd like to take this opportunity to take
a Terrence Hill's avatar on these guys and hope they choke
on it.

PC graphics on all the titles I've ever played, Resident
Evil 5, Left 4 Dead, etc. have all blown xbox graphics
away... unless your PC is shittier than an xbox 360, in that
case, fuck trying to play those games on pc anyways. The
only way it wouldn't make a difference if this game engine
is still the same old COD game engine, but even COD on PC
looks better than xbox so I guess I don't know what you are
referring to?

the cod engine on the xbox is quite maxed out - even if you
have everything switched on extra quality on a pc it won't
look a lot better. a better pc will give you only better
performance.

which is actually good - the fact that they instead of
making a beatiful game that's unplayable (crysis) they made
very small maps, worse graphics but great performance so you
can have those 30 fps even on a bad pc. which is important
in multiplayer.

i'm loving the offline mode, you can't beat multiplayer with
mates and now i can level up too!

Special forces is near impossible on your own... i can
barely get two stars on some of them.

Anyone tried 3rd person mode yet? Its not as bad as i
expected and breaks up the gameplay a bit.

yeah special forces is top. i got a couple of 2 stars but
you're right it's well tight. i've no idea how anyone could
ever do the pit in 35 seconds for 3 stars- utterly
impossible. My fav missions are the evasion and sneaking
around stealth ones.

How big a pain in the arse is it to sort out xbox live? I've
just borrowed a friends console. shame not to see the
multiplayer.

Yeah, it is tough, and I can barely get two stars on any of
them too, but I guess that's the point- to spend ages on it,
to give more replay value.

No russians really does make me cringe, its awful... and so
is all the over the top American patriotism in the game, I
don't blame them for banning the game. Had Russia came out
with a game where you can massacre Americans in a New York
airport, would you be able to buy that game in the US?
Probably not.

Fortunately none of that ruins the multiplayer or special
ops missions.

Just like the Japan version of Fallout 3 didn't contain the
atomic bomb mission, they should have left out the Airport
mission in the Russian copy of the game.

playing SP on PC
first level was kind of meh - good graphics display and all,
and i liked how chaotic things were. still kinda felt just
"pushed" along the map/stage.

the winter level (2nd level)? was nice, but was a bit
rushed. even taking my time sneaking up on people felt
rushed.

the snowmobile driving was so fake and 'wtf' i couldn't
believe it was actually happening. completely laughable.

then the airport/terrorist scene. that was pretty fuking
uncomfortable to me. and just how many civilians there
were! damn!

graphics are great - sound is good too
however, i hate playing in a high resoultion and STILL
feeling like im playing 800x600. the gun is huge/takes up a
lot of the screen real estate...you crank the resolution and
the text stays the same size it seems. so while the
gfx/textures etc are running high res, the rest of the shit
that takes up real estate still feels like im playing
800x600. meh.

also, i dont really have any fuking idea what's going on.
it doesnt' do a good enough job explaining what this mission
is about. im just getting thrown from one place to the
other. no good transition, or even explanations as to wtf
is going on.

i just finished far cry 2 about a month ago, and to me -
THAT is an epic game. we'll see how this goes...but SP has
a lot to be desired

the whole drama around the airport mission is so gay - you
can finish it without killing any civilians at all and just
pretending to be on of the terrorists (i am shure that the
people crying about that mission don't even know the
background why you are shooting them)

i agree that the action in the game is really fast paced and
confusing. the mission seemed to be out of context most of
the time. also due to the fact that most of the talking
through the intercom was going on during battles i missed
most of them.

this game is a console game and ported to pc

--- IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW ---

1 - great graphics, but unlike a pc game, i dont get a
chance to really enjoy them. im literally being "pushed"
through the levels at such a fast pace.

2- killing shittons of enemies without any skillful
shooting. makes sense for console controllers; i just aim
in the vicinity of an enemy and fire a few shots and he goes
down. there's no skill what-so-ever...unlike PC games that
are a bit more 'finely tuned' into the hit-boxes.

3- too many weapons and not really enough time to try them
all out. i feel like there's tons of cool weapons but im
always being pushed along through the level (no chance to
sit and screw around) ... so i dont really get a chance to
play/experiment with the different weapons. none really
seem better than the other - because hitting the enemy is so
easy (big hitboxes)...also, you never seem to run out of
ammo.

i do think im enjoying being 'forced' or pushed through the
level at a fast pace. sometimes i get caught up in
idling/exploring every-fuking-corner, every-room, etc
killing tons of time looking for every ammo pack or what
not...i think im actually enjoying just blasting through the
levels and not having to worry about getting every powerup
or worry about missing something. it's somewhat refreshing
for a change - a bit of closure.
