everyone acts like they see a god walking around, as if it's
proof to say science has less meaning.

Shut the Fuck up, settle down, you got 80 years on this
earth at the most, let's all try to get over the bullshit
that people have brought on the world since the caveman era.

You really have no clue what you are talking about. Even a
materialist naturalist ideology has to rely on metaphysics,
or else science would not be possible.

The tldr wikipedia article for metaphysics made it seem like
a pointless umbrella term for a whole bunch of crap when
that crap can exist individually without the umbrella. I
googled 'metaphysics physics' and got this page:
LAZY_TITLE
which distinguishes them like this:

-Physics is the study, understanding, and knowledge of the
physical, measurable universe around us. bla bla bla

-Metaphysics, in it's academic sense, is the study of
theology and ontology. Theology is the study of the western
God as well as religion and spirituality. Ontology is the
study of beingness and the nature of reality.
Metaphysics is also more commonly referred to as the study
of mythology and the occult - which some also classify as
theology (it's a matter of spiritual or religious
perspective).
bla bla bla

.. right.. so the core of 'metaphysics' seems to be brain
viruses like belief in an imaginary sky friend,
'spirituality' and 'beingness' which are both brain
phenomena. And the nature of reality, which science already
studies.
All that stuff is just science and normal 'physics' with no
need for a term 'metaphysics' that I can see.
I think they mentioned physics studies how and metaphysics
studies why or something. I assume physics/science could
answer why's as well if we had more information. I kinda
doubt 'metaphysics' makes much progress. What do they do,
just ponder stuff that science hasn't solved yet like what's
beyond the universe?
HOW does life exist? genes, dna, replicators, natural
selection
WHY does life exist? genes, dna, replicators, natural
selection aren't both basically the same question in this
case?

Please dude, educate yourself. Maybe read a book on basic
philosophy. Mario Bunge would be an author i would
recommand, especially his 'Philosophy of Science'.

What about an idea, or a concept? I think metaphysics is
anything that is not physical in nature, not just God and
ghosts. I guess if we can't prove that consciousness is
physical then we can't very well say an idea or a concept is
either.

What I am typing here is physical, as in the actual letters
displayed on your screen. My fingers are physical, your
eyes are physical, and the synapses going off as you read it
are physical. My case, argument, whatever, is however not
physical. It is meta (beyond) physical. It is a concept
and has no tangible existence outside of human interaction.

amirite?

I'll just assume Mario Bunge books are full of long winded
circular pseudo crap that doesn't lead anywhere and not
infect my brain with them.

ideas/concepts/arguments are most likely physical in
neurons/information/brains, but we don't know exactly how
the brain works yet.

The phenomenal world does not exist; it is a hypostasis of
information processed by one mind or Deity

"Bunge began his studies at the National University of La
Plata, graduating with a Ph.D. in physico-mathematical
sciences in 1952. He was professor of theoretical physics
and philosophy. Mario Bunge has been distinguished with
fifteen honorary doctorates and four honorary
professorships. Bunge is a very prolific intellectual,
having written more than 400 papers and 80 books"

Wow, you sure showed him.....

I still know almost nothing about him, but I could spend my
time reading things that interest me instead of taking your
metaphysics recommendation. Besides I don't really have much
respect for educational institutions, based on my own
experience going through them (though a few like MIT are
apparently good). One hacker said high school is basically a
holding pen to keep adolescents from interfering in society.
Also you don't choose your own teachers or even subjects,
even in college. You have to learn from dr retarded about
some subject you don't give a shit about because its
required to get the 'distinguished' degree, like this one
fucktard who tortured us with this ass wanky dense shit text
about gay poetry in fagville or something. And the art class
I took just shows how watered down and retarded the
educational system can make something interesting appear to
be. If you're self taught you can read whatever books you
want; choose your own teachers, and learn from the medium of
writing where thoughts are carefully constructed, and not be
locked into rigid time chunks of classes, mostly full of
wasted time. But you don't get a 'degree' which is just a
mechanism to say who can have which job because they paid
the highest price by undergoing the most brain washing. 80
books sounds like quantity over quality to me.
