i thought the same, but i really think it is horror...but i
know what you mean....but look at the case i built, man vs
monster n all. c'mon....but yeh i know what you mean....but
no i'm right and it's carved in stone now.

the curse or the grudge? you can get most of it free from
horrorflix.ws. free account n all, rapidshare links. i just
remember having trouble finding 444444444 (short). it's in a
dead torrent with Katasumi but couldn't find it around
anywhere else. it's worth getting all of it and really
absorbing it's jappiness

it just says ju-on, but it says original japanese version so
that prob means grudge.

of course the original alien does not contain the line game
over, man, game over. i used to hate on aliens a little but
ive come to like it for what it is. what is the line
assholes and elbows people you know the drill

search terms Takashi Shimizu helps if i remember. Katasumi
is a short if you go to horrorfilx it's there i just found
it.
if you want the shorts (i thought there were two but not
sure if there's more) search Gakkô no kaidan G. but anyway
dl katasumi from horrorflix it's just 1 .rar.
probably not best quality tho (you porbably wont find
better)

Ampi is this a list of your 10 favourite horrors or what you
think are the 10 best ever made?

AMP i like a lot of your list. esp the overlooked Wolf Creek
and the underappreciated Blair Witch. Also Audition is
great.

(Most horror movies are crap and not scary at all. I'd say
95% of them don't make me feel anything whatsoever. It has
the worst ratio of likes to dislikes of any genre for me,
even though I love darker stuff. So I tend to get my horror
fix from books, mostly Stephen King and HP Lovecraft.)

We disagree on the work of David Lynch though. I know you
dislike the pseudo intellectual artsy stuff (i dislike it
immensely as well) and it looks like you kind of put Lynch
in that category :(

I know from watching many of his interviews that his main
goal is to make you "feel" is work, not "understand it" in
the conventional sense. He's really not about catering to a
type of Art-Kid (the worst kind of Kid.). It is palpably
disturbing stuff at points, but without the "oh look at me"
pretense you see in so many indie films (Little Miss
Sunshine, for instance. Oh Look At Me In My Yellow Van,
Isn't That Precious? What A Bold Choice I've Made.).

Have you seen The Elephant Man btw?

That's just about the most devastating film I ever watched.

Blairwitch went hand in hand with realising the darkness of
growing up for me. in my village was a lane and we used to
take walks down there. it was a straight dirt road that was
very long with flat miserable field on one side and forest
on the other. only it wasn't a forest it was just like BW
only flatter. the feeling of it still cuts at me. it was
bare and old and bleak as fuck. we once found a house that
felt like the BW one only with no walls. all around it were
these really old glass bottles for medicine and shit. i
remember seeing rabits with mixy, dead rats; just feeling
like life was loveless wherever humanity was sparse. i got
the feeling early on that the very soul of the earth had no
love for me and my feelings, no love at all. the only love
we feel is that which humanity has fought to build. a lot of
good horrors point at this feeling (BW, wolf creek, texas
chainsaw massacre, don't look now). it's like in that
stephen king book - blackhouse, where he talks about
slipage; the spaces between humanities cosiness. there are
ghosts there, and they hate us.

Ju On is just as boring as it is corny. I do appreciate the
fact that you threw on Blair Witch Project. People seem to
dislike it because they don't show the "witch" in the film
which totally kills the point of the whole film. It's
suppose to evoke true human fear & dread and that's exactly
what the film conveys. I'm going to have to give an
honorable mention to Pet Sematary because of that skinny
bitch Zelda!

..and the end scene of REC is undeniably excellent+scary. I
can't mention another film that exceeds the tension and
terror of the final moments in REC.

that's shocking. i only seen it for the 1st time a few years
ago. . . i find it nearly impossible to imagine anyone
having the balls to make something as uncompromising for tv
these days. i'm torrenting this at the minute. . .
seems to be the US equivalent from the same era. . . might
be interesting?

AMAMN BUBBA ILH SAHR ->>> total hotness; i just can't start
to describe that absurd mental fear everyone must put in
their pants ten times a movie. saudi arabian (with other
contributers) obscure though pretty high-budget flick, kind
of government elite entertainment - well maybe this is
bullshit it doesn't matter. give it a try broz, if some
shizzo torrent tracker happen to upload (could be little
mistake in name). not standard montage and stuff, a bit
dilettante but inspired

Just watched A Tale Of Two Sisters. Have to say I enjoyed
it, but it felt more like a drama than a horror movie. Still
very frightening though.

10 TROLL 2 (really freaked me out as a kid, and still love
it!)
9 THE OMEN 2 (great child actor, sets mood, great parts like
when he finds out who he really is)
8 BEGOTTEN (very pretentious) but good undertones
7 TALE OF TWO SISTERS (just recently watched it, loved it,
sad)
6 AMERICAN PSYCHO ( who doesn't kind of fall in love with
Bateman ?!)
5 NEKROMANTIK 2 (a chick that fucks dead dudes? it's just
cool!!)
4 CANNIBAL (based on a true story and so fucked up I have to
pause a few times and take breaks every time I watch!)
3 NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 2 (loved it since i first saw it, +
it's fun!)
2 THE EXORCIST (just such a wonderful classic!)
1 NOSFERATU (still beautiful, classic, and creepy,
atmospherically speaking)

otherwise I just spent $10.00 on garbage because A
L'interieur wasn't available.

Wow, Frontiere(s) was extremely excellent. It's pretty much
Hostel but without the mediocrity.
