yeah, well, a lot of industrial metal is shit. After
godflesh went metal(ish) and ministry and nin went mtv in
the early 90s there was a bunch of sorry ass clones on both
sides of the atlantic (skrew, pitchshifter, who used to be
good until they abruptly went shit in '94 and i quit being
penpals with them, misery loves co. Die Krupps and so on) so
i really tend to dismiss any of that shit as too narrow and
formulaic, especially when i discovered pigface who were
still sticking to the term industrial but were willing to
experiment and go out on a limb if necessary. And once you
hear the original industrial music of throbbing gristle,
swans, spk, daf, einsturzende neubauten and so on, you
realise how laughable these clowns mostly are.

great! make sure to burn those download albums. And what
happened to this band, after III (which was a brilliant
album) they just went silent. What are these things cevin
key is realising from the vaults? Old skinny puppy or some
of his solo work?

On jedi knight 2 can you be a dark jedi? When i played JK 1
i became a dark lord but i felt bad about it so i deleted my
character.

Multi player was very good. I once had a saber battle that
lasted ages. I only got him because of force grip.

haha!!

you're not much of a darth lord, then!

in jedi knight the lightside offers that health-power thing,
i always stuck with that.

hard time killing the end boss, though!

When i am bad, even in a game to NPCs i still feel bad about
it. Do i have a problem?

afterwards.

AMAZING!

i dont know if its available on file sharing apps yet.. it
will be soon though
given how excited people are about it, it'll probably get
around fast, watch for it over the next few days!
in fact.. i think i'll go play it right now... later!

Well - I have bought Jedi Knight II - and it doesn't work
with my graphics card!!

:(

I am fitting a new graphics card into my PC and am currently
downloading the latest required drivers so that I can play
it!!

You were so right Ceri!
I hate
computers.....hate...hate.hate....hate....hate...!!!!
Its nearly 10PM here and I still can't get the game to work!
I have the precise hardware required -nothing!!!!!

I'm currently downloading the specific driver as recommended
in the helpfile. Version 9.0 - there's me thinking the
more upto date file would be better!!

Consoles are so, so much better - at least you just put the
f***ing disk in and play the damn game! When did we start
messing with this game Ceri, about 4.30pm!

11:50pm - Finally got the game going for about
10mins....wasn't totally impressed with the quality of the
graphics. Changed a few settings....game wouldn't
play....put them back to how it was....game doesn't wanna
play anymore and neither do I.

It makes me laugh - there are a list of recommended graphics
card, of which mine is listed....and it says things like ...
"if you have this card....then you might get problems ....so
set the graphics to shitty mode!!" Practically every card
listed has 'issues'.....apart from the £100-150 graphics
cards. Sure - I could replace the graphics card, but not for
the sake of a £30 game!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....PCs and games
- don't waste your time on them people!

I'm fortunate that I work with computers and know what I'm
doing - it makes me think how 'non-technical people' cope!

The ONLY consolation is that my PC now clearly displays a
sharper 1024x768 resolution desktop, which it didn't with my
other card. I'm gonna stick with my trusty PS2....wonderful
machine!!

*Sigh of disbelief and frustration....*
I'm not a happy Jedi tonight - I feel a great disturbance in
the Force!

There can be a many thing, like did you install DirectX 8.1
from Microsoft? Are there any issues regarding the game and
your OS?

Good way to find out everything via the support line. Kick
their ass.

I have the game going. God bless warez, I know at least I
don't miss too much if I don't buy it. Sucks like hell. Just
stuck in the first 5 minute of the game. All the doors are
closed, not even a clue, thoug I am not a softcore gamer.
You hardly find medikits to heal yourself, and the gfx...
Stupid. Pretty similar to older SW games.

Good news!
The store 'Electronic Boutique' where I got the game will
accept it back. So what I'm gonna do is take back Jedi
Outcast, along with some other games that I can trade in,
and get the PS2 titles Jedi Starfighter and Sled Storm.....

...there will be a party in the house tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought Jet Force Gemini for only £12.99 the same time
Jedi Chris bought Outcast. I think it has the best graphics
of any N64 game. It's brilliant, anyone else here a fan?

OK, I had to ressurect this thread because I've purchased my
copy of Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast yesterday and I've seen
that Chris is online. Well, it is amazing, I mean, it
appeared in the UK on friday, and i got my cracked, burned
copy on tuseday. Boy, I loooove hackers/ pirates. Chris: it
works quite fine on my computer, but when i set the graphics
on highest values it gave me some hard time. On normal level
it works without any problems. What are those guys on about?
I mean, my computer is AMD t-bird on 1.2 GHz, 256MB RAM and
asus geforce 2 mx 400 and it still can not be comfortably
played with highest graphical values... Assholes... Besides,
the game really reminds me on Star Trek, Voyager: Elite
Force.... Which is cool, cause I liked that one... Oh, yeah,
it only cost me about one and a half pounds, which, I guess,
makes it a lot easier for me to swallow some of it possible
flaws, than if I'd coughed out 30 quid or so. Just thought
to tell ya...
