I quite like the first and second ones, but I dunno if it's
the photography. Black and white is great.

I think from now on, I'll do with art what some people
should do with religion. Keep it to myself.

the two-year-olds at my daycare do a similar sort of art
project, only they listen to the itsy bitsy spider...your
results are similar though.

Don't let other people's opinions drag you down. Keep doing
your stuff. Regardless of how 'good' or 'bad' an artwork is,
there will always be someone who dislikes it. That's
something you've got to get used to if you want to go public
with art.

these are the reactions that have been given to art since
modern art started with impressionism

i'm not saying it's not good or bad, it's just art

showing examples of how scribble art can be amazing.

No, I wasn't talking about you or anyone else on the forum.
I was referring more to a few politicians, but I don't want
to get into that.

What I meant by I should keep it to myself, is that I should
just do what I want to do and not really have much concern
for everyone's opinion on it. As in, not having much
influence on what I should do with it.

I appreciate all those who supported me though. Don't get me
wrong.

reality it's just random crap.

I really liked this. Interactive@yay.

Do you know of other art like this? Link? When this thread
first started I scoured the deepest depths of the internet,
searching the lost crevices for some more art in this
direction. There was just so much amateur work to sift
through I didn't come up w much.

Most of my best ideas come while listening to Autechre. As
for "drawings", the ones on my site were all done
"based on" Autechre's music.

The second illustration on that site is called "lentic" and
was created from some imagery and feelings that lentic
catachresis gives me.

I say "based on" in quotes because it doesn't really mean
anything to make pictures based on music, even if the music
is what inspired you to make the pictures.

thanks, glasse. I'm not currently selling from the site,
but have some plans to do this in the future, if there is
enough interest through the site.

thanks for letting me know, cuntychuck and brisk. these
illustrations are all pretty new and beyond family and a few
friends, haven't gotten much feedback on these yet.

the response is good enough to keep going with these. I'm
thinking of throwing some 3D into the mix, and then maybe
they can become animated, but that takes a whole lot of
time.

its definately the music in those scribbley wibbley lines

thats what makes it great!!

not something id frame on me wall.

its a translation of music to hand reaction feely type of
thing.

yeah ...hand dancing...its like if a dancer had a paint
brush attached to his foot and danced on a dance floor.

you'd end up with something simlar.
