YosePH is just one big rip off album. Infact most of what
Vibert does is ripped off earlier techno.

Is it just me that's deluded and thinks of "Acid" as
actually being "Acid House" (Phuture, Baby Ford, Hardfloor,
I don't know) and not just any act that puts the word "acid"
at the end of enough of their tracks so the kids start going
"Err, top ten best acid tracks of all time, err, Analord 10,
er.. Analord 8... er.. Luke Vibert.. err Analord 6 ...err
Universal Indicator... err Analord ..... Analooooord...
loooord. .OH ANALORD 3, yes. Classic acid"

i know exactly wot u mean its same if i ever see anyone
write about grime in here its like plastician, burial

personally i think this is all a bit moot considering aphex
has been doing acid influenced trax since year dot as has
mike dred etc, thats like 91 so i dunno if it counts as a
revival

the first kids i heard doing this new layered melodic style
were andy and tom j and that was 10 years ago

not. DAMN THEM TO HELL!

it's like when people say 'pop music' they always mean kylie
and madonna, i'm always sitting there seething like "what
about keane"...people so ignorant

I think that's a weak comparison, and you're assuming I'm
taking the high ground of "Greater Knowledge". I'm saying,
what you often see here, is someone will say "Hey, recommend
me some ACID" and nine times out of ten the response will
come "Analord, Luke Vibert, ... Analord 2". Acts which are
hardly representative of Acid music. As if someone said
"Recommend me POP MUSIC", which obviously is a far grander,
indeed all encompassing genre, in the ideal world you'd
give them everything from the Blues, the Beatles, Betty Boo
to Battles. You wouldn't go "Keane... Radiohead.. Thom Yorke
solo album"... unless you were a cunt.

Rutherford.
