so, do you think that we should have more respect for those
who are mastering instruments, or for those who made them ?

its a stupid idea to compare kraftwerk to afx, yes, but
really, even compared, afx would probably say he was
influenced by german group. not the german group by afx..
or, as i know the bitch already, he would say just " fuck
off". which is a proof that he shouldnt be higher than
kraftwer. or something like this. almost.

it seems a bit futile to vote based on historical
significance. i think this poll measures community 'buzz'
around particular artists, and gives a great idea of what mb
members are excited about.

arguing about who between kraftwerk/aphex is a bit futile..
it took several decades for it to be clear where and how
kraftwerk influenced modern music. i think it will be at
least another decade before we can say the same about
aphex.

i honestly think both kraftwerk and aphex are more
"important" (whatever the fuck that means) than fennesz, but
i don't walk around going "holy crap! aphex twin!" (or
worse, "whoa! kraftwerk!") because they're just so STANDARD
by now -- not that they're banal, but so well defined and
imitated that their sound just can't excite me all that
much. fennesz, on the other hand, i've been absolutely
delighted with for this past year, and i'd be much happier
to see him top the list as an indicator that xltronic is
dynamic and amorphous rather than a loquacious altar of
aphex worship.

loquacious altar of
aphex worship.

thats the point , this mb is right an altar for AFX, no
matter what he will do.

and basiclyy i agree with you in part, but im too lazy to
post anything about it.
peace

8 hours left for this group and only 7 votes are the
diference between aphex and the third qualified of the
group

never had aphex to fight so hard for a 1/8 final
qualification

he doesn't fight at all...that's the trouble. if he'd
release an album already, im sure he wouldn't have problems
qualifying.
