suicide is not an adequate answer - its more of a personal decision you make, if you take the point of view that killing yourself, is in some form, a way to be free of this mortal coil - i dont think its reasonable to suggest it's a solution. its not like if i kill myself, i solve some kind of dilema the system has - no its more like, you denied existance, and would rather not exist. however, i dont think there is anything wrong with making the decision to kill yourself - i think that is a personal choice and its only yours to make. unfortunately if you dont like the system, the only way to procede is to fix the system, or adjust to its defects. |

I think about suicide a lot, but I cant imagine I'd do it since I'm still here. On that note, I decided recently that I want Aphex Twin - Lichen (from SAW II), to be played at my funeral. |

the original post is bullshit. if life has no apparent meaning, then each person should make the best of it while he's there. you are capable of being happy, and being happy is a good feeling you want to experience more of. try to hunt down this feeling(and all other positive feelings) and then experience that till you die. you're right, taking your own life is a freedom, but living your own life is a much bigger freedom. |

I don't see whats wrong with working. I know whats wrong with being homeless. Once again its a perceptual thing. Now for the angry part: What a stupid pointless attention grabbing thread. Quite being such a whiner. Find a way to work with the system (you don't necessarily need to work for it). A system can only work properly if there are people to nurture it along, and help guide it in the right direction. The main problem with the system happening right now, is everyone is willing to take responsibility for the shit that works, but they point fingers at other people for the things that don't work. No one takes any real responsibility, unless they are blackmailed. So, anyone who makes a point of shittalking the system without actually trying to be a part of it is pretty much just making the system worse. Fuck, I hate people like that. I think I agree with you about Work. I go to work in order to have money to be able to live, and to try to live a better than just a [animal] sleep-eat-sleep-eat life, eg. to buy books, cds, go to exhibitions, etc. Work is what human people do becuz they have to do it (more or less). If nobody worked, we would all die (eg. if we could only eat fish, no fisherman = no fish = death). The basic idea of Work is everything but pleasant and attracting. If you have fun when you work, it's good for you I guess, but it's a coincidence. Same for War. |
