joke.

OK I want to take back what I said in the opening post.

I now like the music of Lackluster, Vibert, Christ., Ilkae
and especially CiM and only think 25-30% of Mu is shit.

Have my standards dropped?

There's definitely a lot of overrated IDM. Proem and Arovane
are definitely on that list for me, too. It seems like
people go fucking nuts over anything with a glitchy, clicky
beat put up against warm ambient synths.

Squarepusher. Only a couple of good tracks and everything
else is quite shite, but people overhype about it anyway.
My favorite moment: Sqrpsher playing Hello Meow live in
Japan and people saying what an awesome bassist he is.

Wow, he knows how to play chords on bass guitar. How
amazing. You can barely even fucking hear him.

I resent christ. being on this list. Everyone else I can at
least tolerate someone else having the opinion that they are
overrated, but christ. is awesome.

music shouldn't be shared or talked about really.. each
individual should live in their own isolated and private
'music sphere' absorbing and creating their own uncensored
and untouched musical taste. i have met so many people with
so many different opinions on what constitutes "good music"
and the discussions never end anywhere because no amount of
words are going to change a persons experience of a song.

i find music to be a very isolated experience, as it should
be.

Clark, Ulrich Shnauss, kid606, Jega, i wouldn't call Luke
Vibert IDM but he has his ups and downs. I dont mind all of
this though. The new Vsnares was overhyped too(cavalcade and
hospitality), and it wasn't too great when I bought it. It
grew on me in its depth though.
