I recently bought a lot of about 200 vhs tapes and am bored as hell always so even attempted to watch the shitty ones thus finding some good ones I'd never have found. I'll just list the movies, best on top, worst on bottom BEST pulp fiction (really a masterpiece/only seen once so far so can't make good judgement maybe) american beauty- great four rooms (same greatness as pulp, less violent, same makers) fargo- great acting and everything, has a nice minimal feel due to snow maybe training day- great hombre- i love this old paul newman movie, even the extremely fake overly bright red 'blood' flash on the screen fight club- fantastic reservoir dogs- excellent, believable, cringing scenes color of night (supoib, great surprise ending, about a bunch of neurotics) friday (very funny ('yee-ah' when he sees captain crunch in his cupboard)) chasing amy- the best of all the 'clerks' type movies imo falling down- great movie that only ranks lower cuz I've seen it too many times what about bob?- great but seen to many times disorganized crime- quite funny, the whole thing ends in everything done being redundant. maddog and glory- pretty good sprung- quite a funny black love comedy you wouldn't suspect from the cover. it's like starring black people, yet not about gangs/violence... 8 heads in a duffel bag- pretty funny high school high- pretty funny in the line of fire- where that assassin makes that plastic gun foolish- just a stand up comic, but the comedy is great mall rats- this is what clerks 2 should have been unforgiven- pretty good clint eastwood gridlocked- meh, entertaining the bone collector- wicked serial killer, makes you cringe but is ultimately boring/lengthy taxi driver- overrated, it got press for being violent then but is boring/average now higher learning- meh entertaining 187- meh, entertaining big lebowski- over rated.. man who knew too little- meh, entertaining WORS |

I excluded most comedies and muppety things and animation (ace ventura pet detective is one of my fav's. The guy can BE a cartoon character, and the mask didn't do his potential justice. plus typical comedies, austin powers waterboy etc. saturday night live characters mostly, evil dead, army of darkness jim hensonish: dark crystal, neverending story, labyrinth, even ninja turtles animation: disney movies, pixar movies, princess mononoke, and ONLY the coke bottle ooze animation from alegro non tropo |
