Sorry about that heheh. I'll admit my mind keeps changing, but I'll always be able to see that what attracts me is the sound design and the beats, along with the weird structures and nice buildups, and what makes me dissapointed is the "melodies".

This is my most constant played album right now. Each listen I gather something new from it, as a whole and awesome parts I never recognized. Personally although fermium and the trees are good tracks I dont 'feel' they fit anywhere on this album. This album has a genre (unnamed ofcourse) and a very very strong concept, I can't get enough of it.
Now, speaking of autechres constant new approach and experimentation with sound, this has to be the longest 'getting used to/growing on you' album they've done yet, and depending on how you listen to it (headphones, normal speakers, car, from another room, behind the speakers) there are voices/patterns/sounds that take on a more evident dominating sounds (which i find amazing!)
gaaad fack i love this album.

same here! Untilted has been part of my daily diet the last couple of weeks.
i find this album a highly enjoyable listen. Ipacial Section and Pro Radii are SO good.
tho i have to say i was a bit disappointed with the way most of the tracks sound on headphones... so i prefer listening to the album on speakers.

i think this album was their most easy to make, programming-wise. or at least i understood their approach this time around. alot of it sounded like short patterns at high bpms with pitch shifting and swapping out sound patches and slowly changing the tempo. it's extraordinarily easy to do on most of my drum machines. the breakdown about half way through sublimit, when the beat changes, was done on an alesis hr-16b. at least judging by the fact that i have one and have made a few similar rhythmically sounding patterns using the exact same sounds heard in that track. i've had that drum machine for so long that it doesn't sound like used any other one or program for it. i think alot of this album was used with easier methods and machines, just alot speedier and mishmash sounds. autechre has always had lots of layers and when you pick out certain sounds and listen to it for a whole song, you'll notice each individual sounds it's simple rhythm. it seems that autechre finds a rhythm and melody to focus on and everythng before or after is filler working it's way to the central aspect of a track. overall, i like the album. sublimit i could do without, at least the length. the trees is a merely okay track. fermium sounds predictable, but i love it. LCC is probably my most favorite track. everything else is on par with what i wanted out of the cd.

yeah its almost close to a year now
the month that it came out and i was listening to it everyday, my house was getting worked on and paint thinner fumes were everywhere on the floor in the main hallway, so when i listen to the album now i just kinda get these stimulus generalizations of being dizzy and messed out on that stuff. especially on ipacial section.
