my turtle, my friends/family, skateboarding, MUSIC (especiallly boc, atm), art (in almost any form), good literature, god films, intelligent conversation...
and last but not least, waking up in a freezing cold room, under warm blankets with the sun shining through my blinds at my face.

"if you mean "language" in general, then yeah - tends to
cause a bit of a headache - and it seems a rather metaphysical presupposition that it does or could 'relate to
itself' - that doesn't mean its wrong of course ..."
well.. about language relating to itself.. I mean, like, it doesn't really relate to the world outside (according to Sasseure, that is. HAHAHA! don't read too much, you'll become a drone!), because the connection between the sign and its meaning is arbitrary. In that sense, language relates to itself in the way that a word is only defined by what it DOESN'T mean (which words in its own language it ISN'T), as opposed to what it DOES mean (the word itself, outside the language, would mean nothing, but when put into the system of a language, with all the other words, it gets a definition that comes from it NOT being any of the other words...). But still.. who's to say that Sasseure was correct? He could have been mad, you know.

The usual: Having fun with my friends, pretty much everything about my girlfriend, peanuts, lying on my bed with the headphones on playing seefeel or something else that instantly brings you in a trancy half-sleepty state, sex, junkfood
Oh, and I agree about Bob Ross. He was a genius just for his ultra-relaxing paint classes on TV.

The wankery continues...
I think it's amazing how all words are defined by other words. Like language is a closed circle with no beginning.

Girls' smiles are the best things ever. If you ever keep this in your mind next time you are out with soe girls or whatever, you'll probably agree (if you're a heterosexual male or possibly otherwise).
Other than that, making things, be it music or any kind of art, just expression.
Talking, conversing with people who get you, or having those philosophical arguments.
Affection
Making people laugh, I make people laugh at work soetimes lol, I can always make my little sister laugh, she almost pisses herself laughing sometimes when I'm half drunk and being a moron around the house it's really wicked.
Having your parents back you, say that the things you do are great and supporting you.
Similarly: when your friends support you with things you do, when Rachel asks me to burn her a CD of my stuff and then coes back and tells me she adores it.
Or when I had a girlfriend, the way she's sit and listen to me make music with this captivated smile.
Or when she'd fall asleep on me (even though she'd sometimes do it when I wanted sex)
But yeah people laughing is really important. I laugh a lot, I think. Some of my friends live in hysterics.

Making people laugh and happy makes life special, being able to make a difference in someone elses life when they are sad or feeling down. Also from time to time getting praise from others when you've done something good is nice, all to often these days, especially perhaps in work you only get to hear negative comments about things, so getting thanked is nice.

In addition..
Being asked to dance last night by possibly the most slutty looking girl I have seen in a long time. Naturally I turned her down, as I have a girlfriend, but it was a nice little ego boost to be given some attention; particularly from someone like her. I'm not sure I can even describe her accurately - seeing really was believing.
