rudster your a legend! I regretted not taping it last
night.

As for the Aphex tracks, When Mary Anne announced this show
a few weeks back, she said Pusher would be performing some
of his new material as well as some by Aphex.

I was wondering if the bbc webcam would show Tom and Mary
Ann being all flirty - didn't though....

He was talking the usual load of shite anyway - which he
said was inherent in doing interviews about his music, so
that showed me! Yer wan was seriously bloddy excited i have
to say - creamed herself really - i had to sniff my PC

Arnie:
"I'll be .........square"

- track 1 - Tundra 4 is excellent - very AFXish. More like
his 3" banging tracks

- track 2 comes in nice with those blurps n bleeps over the
synths - then the classic Squarepusher bubbly bass with
lovely jungley hihats while the synths get sqished between
the stretched out
drilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. bam!

- track 3 square square square square squarepusherrrrrrr
"direct to mental" reworked with some hightened backround
sounscapey synthedness. I always loved that haunting drone.

- track 4 funny vocal intro, afx'y jungle madness, very
Ceephax-ish actually, absolutely banging, a right royal
corker! best track by him since.......i dunno.
TURNING OUT TO BE WHAT EVERYBODY WANTED ULTRAVISITOR TO BE
LIKE - warp probably heard this and said ... "hey man, you
held out on us!"

- track 5 .... had that Angstrom Feck 4 beat with chaotic
jungle and amazing stretch-inducing synths....... nearly
beats track 4............. if AFXdon't have a hand in this
i'm a bag of puke. Crazzzyyyyyyy acid bass lines too.. HAV
IT

I won't be able to listen to shit else all day now......

Good enough to listen too, but a bit crackly if you want to
burn it to CD. Did anybody record from digital?

It doesn't look like it, unfortunately. I think I will set
up some kind of system wherein I can record from sky digital
in the future. Possibly through the use of expandable
celery. Thanks a lot for the recording rudster, I look
forward to hearing it again.

Ultravisitor is an amazing album, it really changed my
perspective of what an album can be. I got stoned and
listened to this with some friends last Friday night. The
conversation was amazing from talking about his techniques,
to Squarepusher alarm clocks that don't turn off until you
solve puzzles around your house or just laying back and
tripping out to the complex beats. That is a fucking album,
looking at the hand written diagrams on the inner of the
booklet and listening to those technical beats as he jumps
back and forth from analogue to digital, it concocted mad
theories to what this guy puts himself through to produce
such music. It's too easy to bap ten tracks on a CD and call
it an album, but for me this whole album was an experience
that can't be fully placed into text. A full unique
experience. I love Ultravisitor and I love Tom including the
Tom who hangs around with us here, he can decode any music
and his perspective in the conversation was fantastic.

I recorded the whole show last night from FM Stereo to wave.
I need to get a hold of that Rough Babylon track and there
is plenty more for me to get into. I'm the same as
Keyfumbler tho, I'm finding it hard to play anything other
then this show today. I went to the warp site while
recording tho so a little part of the show has 'Simon from
Sydney' playing in the background. I'm in the process of
cutting it up and making a double CD of it for some friends
and personal use. I've not had so much music to obsess over
from a radio show in years, perhaps since 94 but I had much
lower standards then.

These two things for me are a magical treat. :>

We really need to get the digital version off satelite! When
somebody makes this can you be sure to put the source of it
in the filename so we can easily distinguish once it's
floating around? I would also really like to get versions of
the tracks chopped up into individual files.
