It was so good, I don't think it's on DVD, I have to wait 150 years before it turns up by mistake on cable again.

I have the John Barry soundtrack to that - it's great (Oscar nominated?). Meant to pick up the film on DVD sometime.

yeah it's really weird, the opening theme (very repetitive, a short orchestral 'wail') is what I remembered best from my first viewing of it.
I saw it when little and loved it. I bought it for a friend (SOME FIFTEEN YEARS LATER) and he has made fun of me since; ah well.
The movie is from more innocent times, back when everything didn't have to be passionate and gripping.

Oh man, the Langoliers is a GREAT movie. I don't think I've even seen it all the way through but in had quite an impression on me back in the day. That movie is all I could think of when I first bought Brian Eno's 'Music for Airports' (since they're in that deserted airport for much of the movie, etc..)

I haven't seen The Langoliers for years. I was obsessed with it as a kid. I'll have to unearth a copy...
Psycho IV. Norman Bates calls up a talk radio station...
Pump up the Volume. As a teenager I was an introverted loner who wanted his own radio show*, so this was just awesome. (*actually, that could still accurately describe me).
80s/early 90s Hong Kong flicks. Operation Pink Squad 2 is a particular favourite. You've gotta love a decapitated demon-woman's head chasing a group of screaming Asian women around a dilapidated apartment complex.
Nuit des traquées, La (Night of the Hunted). Vague, French, 1980, minimalism, amnesia. Also contains best sex scene I've seen.
