I know many people say the shark looks fake, but I say the
original is so much better than the likes of 'Deep Blue Sea'
.....the suspense, the music is great

Good call. I dunno, I'm kinda torn between Alien and Aliens.
Aliens was fun but Alien was where the magic really
happened. I'd say 1,2,3,4.

spielberg is all about sentimentality. Not real
sentimentality like 'Cinema Paradiso' but
fake,unnecessary,forced,robin williams syrupy sentimentality
that you feel you could scrape off the screen with a knife.

Oh yes! Usual Suspects was one of those movies that seems to
come out of nowhere, knocks you off your feet and leaves you
sitting there gasping for breath. To this day I am still
afraid of Kaiser Soze. :-)

yes
fifth element ?
i was so full of pitty for luc besson.. he stold all the
designs and costums to Moebius comic books
the film itself was ok.. i would have love to see it only
once tho, life is cruel sometimes

offline TonyFish from the realm of our dreams on 2003-03-10 17:27 [#00589446]

I wouldn't say he stole them, he credits the guy + I believe
Moebius worked on the costume designs with him.

offline glass_eater from a blind nerves area (Switzerland) on 2003-03-10 17:34 [#00589454]
Points: 4904 Status: Regular

i think i remember luc besson saying he wrote the story when
he was 13 ! and i never heard moebius being part of the
project, i was just shocked cos alot of scenes are directly
taken as part of the movie, like when the girl lilou jumps
from a building, thats the first page of one of moebius
book. i think the credit for the costumes get to that jean
paul gaultier sucker..
anyway just not the best film for me ;)

so which is your fav besson movie?

i'd say mine are leon and le grand bleu...
