don't you get it?? buckone and andy dick are in kahoots!
look at their interractions together in this thread and the
"who should open" thread. they're either friends/business
partners, OR THE SAME GUY.

Ask Xanatos,he did know about it,since he lives in NYC...And
yes,I did confirm with Andy via phone, still, doesn't mean
it's true,but I trust him,you will see next week,either on

will just have to believe it......
I ask you, would you go???? I would like to have a get
together with people from this MB,would be kool!!!! :)

even IF i have the day off, which i probably won't, i
probably won't feel like spending money to take a train to
NYC and then pay the steep price at a hotel for the night.

No prob man...But you live in the USA and would be able to
see bunch of good stuff, performances, concerts, but I live in
Puerto Rico,wich over here is a little different,we don't
get to see much nice concerts anymore.....And for me is way
too much, see it has been my dream to see RDJ live!!!! =)

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2002-08-17 00:44 [#00353245]
Points: 14550 Status: Lurker

i'll admit i take concerts for granted, especially in the
summer where i live at home in dc. during the school year i
desperately want to go to concerts cos i'm in the middle of
nowhere and the concerts my college sponsors are either 1)
bands i hate 2) bands no one has heard of or 3) educational
performances. i've never seen RDJ live but if i don't get to
see him anytime soon i don't feel like it'll be a big loss
to me. he doesn't do enough live anymore, i wish he'd go
back to his old style of playing synths live instead of just
laptop or turntable performances.

It's not going to happen anymore, the thing you said about
RDJ playing with live keys, technology has advanced way too
fast...And much of the music programs are all
software,Vst,and virtual real-time controlling...So,you just
can do anything with a comp/laptop nowdays...

offline VampireAngel from San Juan (Cuntland) (Puerto Rico) on 2002-08-17 00:52 [#00353262]
Points: 1746 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

The good thing about this one is,that besides bringing his
laptop,he's going to bring some turntables, mixer, realtime
efx, plus a Roland909,that sounds way too good for me to
miss.......=)

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2002-08-17 00:54 [#00353266]
Points: 14550 Status: Lurker | Followup to VampireAngel: #00353258

i just find it pretty boring to watch. even with all the
equipment and software at RDJ's disposal his tracks sound
the same live as they do on cd. if i'm going to be spending
$300+ to see him he has to do more than that.

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2002-08-17 00:54 [#00353269]
Points: 14550 Status: Lurker | Followup to VampireAngel: #00353262

yea i like the part about the 909 and realtime fx, if it's
true. i guess there's no way to prove it. i wonder how andy
"dick" bartered for that condition and if he had to pay
extra?

Well Titsworth, probablly he and his Co. had to pay
extra, because what's usually included is the basic Laptop as
main equipment, the they can keep adding stuff, depending on
how much do you want to spend on the artist.......

what is it in America with concerts? 21+ is just stupid.
I've been to concerts here in Germany at 15. My cousin saw
Blur in London at 13. I think 18+ is crap but 21+ is a joke.

In the US you have to be 21 to drink alcohol, the roxy is a
bar that serves alcohol and they dont allow people under 21
in there even if they are not going to be drinking alcohol.
If they had it at a venue that doesnt sell alcohol, then you
could be quite young like 12-13 or something.

roxy and other night clubs are 18+. the owners do not want
to do under 21 because they do not make any money. however
hammerstein & roseland are all ages even though they sell
alcohol! come to boo7 all ages!

Ok that doesnt make any sense. how would you make less
money by eliminating people under 21. Your going to have
hundreds of 20, 19, 18 year olds begging to give you $40 to
see aphex how is eliminating those people with $40 dollars
in theyre hand making you LESS money.
If it was 18+ with a stamp/wristband for 21+ to buy drinks
you would make the most money. People 21+ are not going to
stay home and miss aphex because you let 18 yr old people
in.

Im am over 21 and dont care i just dont see the logic in the
roxy losing money by broadening there customer base.

know how strict ROXY is on fake ids and how good does it
have to be to pass as real?

ive heard it isnt that strict..

but dont quote me on it... for i could be wrong

anyways... if i cant convince the guy tommorrow to make it
18+ im getting a fake id... and using it

the worst thing they can do is say no, and send you away

i doubt theyd call the cops
