the problem is that most of the people pretending to know
something more about music tend to hate music styles that
have gone mainstream.

dubstep is hated because you can hear dubstep everywhere
right now, even in commercials and a lot of artists tend to
change from their various styles to dubstep which just adds
oil to the flaming of the haters.

instead of whining and shouting at mainstream stuff [rusko,
caspa, skream and the likes (although listen to
this track and try to tell me that it's bad)] you should
try to find those really interesting gems (like the new
somatic responses which is a perfect example of connecting
both your own style and dubstep)

I pretty much agree with what you're saying, with all the
'true' music fans jumping off the wagon as soon as a few
'norms' hop on and make it a bandwagon.

But I must say, I thought that Caspa remix was fucking
horrible, and the worst example of dubstep. Prefer
16bit for some dirty nasty
drill-your-fucking-head-in wobble.

Do you know 16bit? If not check this out too. Oh
man.

I like to think of this one as being a chainsaw massacre
where all the 'norms' on the bandwagon who hopped on when
they heard 'Night' get fucking cut the fuck up. If they pick
themselves up, with an arm missing, jump back on, then they
are allowed back onto the dubstepwagon. And we can have
cheese and biscuits as we discuss how much of a donkey's
dick Caspa is.

It's all metaphorical of course. Except Caspa really is a
donkey's dick.

Dub is a headspace as much as it is a style of music, much
in the way making rock or electronic music is. Saying
something is more real than another because they come from
different eras or have a slightly different aesthetic is
retarded.
