Classic detroit techno. Very mysterious, they have an ongoing myth of black slaves being shipped to America, and from babies that were born onboard and thrown into the ocean, a new Race of superior black people who can breathe in water is developed and so on. I like their stuff, but have only heard bits and pieces...

name or band?
The Quest (2cd compilation of their early stuff) - is awesome - that is if you dig the crispy 808 snare hits as much as i do :)
Neptune's Lair is a bit dissapointing - too trancey i think .. haven't heard the new album yet.

Hi Woofer! I can remember we talked about Drexciya a few weeks ago. I think you'll find a topic with the same name started by Krendo

I have The Quest for sale if anyone is interested. Also for sale, the EP "The Journey Home" the track The Black Sea is simply awesome techno, pounding but with soul.
