i think all of their albums are terrific, really, except for
HTTT and Pablo. Pablo is still a very good album, really,
and HTTT is pretty decent. Thinking About You and Blow Out
are great tracks.

I read an article where they said Radiohead was the Rush of
our generation. It made sense to me at the time.

The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A are the only ones I really
like. OK Computer is aging most gracefully.

my first cd was ok computer. they'll always have a special
place in my giant, muscular and manly heart for that reason.

agreed, tho on pablo honey I think "you" and "blowout" are
great. But I like how in rainbows has (I think)somewhat the
same vibe of ok computer, not so downright negative and
depressive as HTTT, but with a sparkle of hope. Can't really
explain it, but to me the overall vibe of HTTT just wasn't
right. I also liked mixing of the leaked version of HTTT
better than the final release :S

I think this review of In Rainbows from rateyourmusic.com
sums it all up pretty nice:

In Rainbows review by Selfmonarch

I simply don't get it. Radiohead is a case of one of those
bands where the name is bigger than the music itself. They
could release anything they wanted and the fans would eat it
up like shit topped with whipped cream. You know what to
expect; if you're a fanboy (like half of this site) you'll
cream over In Rainbows. The rest of us will just look on and
wonder why this band is so over hyped when their music
doesn't back it up.

I think the fact you take any notice of a site called
rateyourmusic.com sums it up pretty nicely.

Radiohead is arena rock for mentals and suicidals.

So far the only odd fish on the album is bodysnatchers, the
only song I wouls skip.
Other than that, it's perfect, with out of all outstanding
tracks, I suppose Nude and Reckoner stand out the most at
the moment, but that makes it sound as if the other tracks
are less, which they really aren't.
It's that good, no matter what the French people say.
I thought Radiohead died when they released HTTT, but
they're back.
Best release this year along with Explosions in the Sky's
All of a Sudden I miss Everyone.
