what is the popular sound of now?
seems to be maurizio rip off's and the same old dubstep ad
infinitum
or miserable/angry/ill-informed guitar rock

Whoa goDel, that golden baby is the womb are always
interesting to see.

Sano: would you be embarrased cause you dont what your
friends to know what real music sounds like or would you be
embarrased because RDJ is the king of idm and he has "sold
out" and his best stuff was way behind him, blah blah, blah,
crap.

Puts in Drukqs, pert 01 then pert 02.

Most of AFX's past work sounds so incredibly dated to me
even on the headphones it's just for the memories.

Squarepusher on the other hand his music aged much better in
my opinion.

It's like listening to Backstreet Boys, the Spicegirls or
Swedish early 90's sensations Ace of Base in this day and
age.

if you are going to criticise, fair enough
but please can you say what you do think is good or what you
like etc so we have some frame of reference to know if your
comments are worth considering
peace

personnaly i dont care if some music sounds dated or not ;
if they do sounds good today that's fine, to my ears, its
just a good/bad ratio.

sure, some of the analords sounds like early techno/house or
track3 of the tuss lp reminds me of prince but its not
really important, its the sound/melodies/dynamic that
matters.

so if some dude wrote awesome tracks on harpsichord you're
gonna hate him for sounding sooo 1750? but on the other
hand, i like talking heads but NOT block party..

I listen mostly to italo-disco and electro these days.

I still like Moroder or Black Devil records, their records
are classics that defie the test of time, I have little
patience to listen again to AFX's harsh metalic sounds,
snarerushes or the ultra high pitched layers. Even the man
himself realised this and released Analord/The Tuss in a
total different direction.

If AFX is '90s then he's still a decade ahead of music as it
stands right now.
