is indeed excellent, but i prefer couple of other things
from underground resistance myself. specially couple of
tracks from those ur compilations which are so damn short.

It's so sad that James Stinson passed away and come to think
of it J Dilla--maybe great artists don't live so long but
burn really brightly. I just can't get over the atmospheres
of the tracks, makes me think of the sea and galaxies at the
same time!!

The Other People Place is my fav work by Stinson, but I do
enjoy most of the Drexciya releases.

Not really melodically (apart from digital tsunami which has
a fabulous melody/groove) but more for the raw energy and
atmosphere he generated.

I must confess, I prefer Gerald Donalds work a lot more.

i knew dopplereffekt for ages but only discovered drexciya
recently. the quest (2cd) as a compilation must be their
best record. even if james stinson had his very specific
style/talent (techno/funk) that is lost forever, his partner
arpanet wont give up, so we should get more drexciyan tracks
in the future.
