If you're interested in that kind of shit check DJ Kentaro.

You can only really enjoy him at a loud volume. Code 4109 (mix) is quite alright - dont really care so much for his albums tho.

i must admit, 4109 used to be a fave of mine aswell, i simply enjoy all the tracks on it. i can tell from my last.fm that i actually spin dj krush quite a lot - or atleast used to.

I first got into him in the mid 90s as I had a friend deeply into ambient and trip-hop (he even had that t-shirt which said I Think Therefore I Ambient).... first album of his I bought was Milite... always been a fan of his beats and his guest rappers.

well, first of all he doesn't speak any english so we had to talk through a translator, which wasn't good at all as i got very little of what krush said back.
and secondly, he was being a bit of a celebrity kinda guy..a friend asked if she could come along to film the interview, but krushes manager didn't allow it as he said they need clearence for that from japan..
overal it was my worst interview so far...not that others are good as i only just made like 10, 15 interviews so far, but at least other people i interviewed had interesting things to say..

well, but does that mean i shouldn't have said it wasn't a such a good experience?
i mean, i don't speak much english either so i shouldn't be judging people, but he's been working with native english speakers for many years now..also i've talked to japanese people, even older than dj krush (otomo yoshihide) and they were able to talk quite good. so yeah, this was just unpleasant because it doesn't work well doing it through translation, specially when he gives you very little time for it..i guess he's just fed up with interviews after all these years, which i can understand i guess.

You said "But at least other people had something interesting to say" as if he didn't: for all you know he might have been saying some damned fine interesting things only you couldn't understand what he was saying, which you seem to blame him for... this might shock you but there are people a hundred years old who don't speak English! He's not obliged to speak it or learn it, how many English-speaking people speak or understand Japanese?
