well, eggs are just so much versatile. They are used to
make cakes, ice cream, meringues, pies, sauces, all kinds of
pastries, mayonnaise, and of course we eat them just as they
are, fried, boiled, poached, and scrambled, as well as in
omelettes. bacon is good for lots of stuff too, but eggs
are an absolute essential in any kitchen, whereas bacon is a
good addition, but nowhere near essential, so my vote would
