Probably the most acomplished thing i've done (in my life), not my favorite tho; It sucks, it's cheesy, i got lazy with the beats and structure because i'm on a deadline. oh yeah, and it uses the amen. http://felasa.googlepages.com/dnbfinal.mp3 sorry about the enya-ish interlude and the poor mixing (not the final mix) still needs some work. tell me what sucks. Don't say everything because I will cry. I really want feedback. |

You should doodle more maybe. Orange dust can make a track better than this in one day for example probably. It felt kind of clumsy like you imagined it one way but wern't quite able to carve it out perfectly. It wasn't particularly memorable in my opinion. It's not terrible or anything (imo), just kind of average, sort of imitating squarepusher/aphex but not doing it as well. |

you're right, i was trying to imitate. but i had to finish it and i ran out of melodic ideas, and not having a controller where i did most of the heavy work didn't help. yes, clumsy describes me in all aspects hmmmm... i think i've done better, it's just that i've never bothered/had to finish a piece before. |

Yep. I'm listening to this right now and to me it sounds like a mixture of a couple of Aphex tracks (blantantly and shamelessly so). It starts out with, what, um, Come to Daddy maybe, then it turns into what ever that track is called from RDJ album with plucked violins and strings. Then the track just mixes both those ideas into something. I'm not trying to hate on you or anything, but try to do something that's unique to you or whatever. It sounds good, though, and I like it, but I've already heard the real deal. : ( Sorry. |
