if I make a 20 pixel by 20 pixel square, then tween it so any single corner only is moved 5 pixels horizontally or vertically... ALL the corners produce normal tweens EXCEPT the bottom left corner when the point moves left. In that case the tween has the square do an entire 90 degree rotation, instead of the obvious way of just extending the side. It is just that one corner all the time so I think it's a bug in flash's tween.

See, this is what I mean. Look at the bottom right square in the top group of 4... it's the only one that does a rotation. It's so completely retardedly aggrevating. Does it do this for you indeksical?
Even if you add shape tweens it bends all out of proportion still insisting on rotating, like the bottom left corner of stuff has a tween bug.

I mean if you add 'shape hints' not 'shape tweens'. Also in that case am I wrong or does motion tween not work (because the shape changes, not just the position).

On the 3 other shapes on the top image, the outer corner of the square moves, but the anomolous one has an inner facing corner moving, so I believe this different corner is causing the rotation.
BTW I have no idea about the workings of flash, but if you just watch it, you can see it rotates because it is doing a different movement to the others. Hopefully I haven't totally stated the obvious here, but I have no idea what "tween" is.

Ahh, I finally found a way to fix it. A tween is when you draw only 2 frames (the first and last) and it draws all the frames be'tween' for you saving you effort.
To fix it you have to put TWO shape hints exactly in every corner. In this attached gif, the tween of the square's corner moving OUT has 2 hints in every corner so worked fine... going back IN to a normal square shape I put only 1 hint in every corner which causes it to do a fucked up tween.

No, I basically only read half of a huge c++ book and did some hello world retardization. I used python with pygame for awhile and am still a complete novice; never even made a simple game yet but at least controlled pixels without being stuck on text manipulation. I downloaded python/pygame again since I got a new computer but might start using flash's actionscript.
