This has been a public service announcement

I linked to commentary about this in my 'The News' thread.

Looking at the real thing though is ultra fucked up. There
are so many depressing things to pick at.

But not only do they delete huge tracts of text, they even
remove little things, like at the start of 41 "and are
concerned about the latest scientific findings confirmed by
the". NO SCIENCE PLEASE

nauseating

Most amazing document ever! They struck out a bit on
fostering more sustainable, less carbon heavy energy
processes!

As in, SUV PLEASE

Zing! They struck down a bit on safer nuclear energy and
non-proliferation!

Note also how all references to specific dates by
which things should be accomplished have been struck out or
replaced with stuff that doesn't commit them to anything.

Yeah. It's really intense, the whole thing isn't even
trying to have a moderate standpoint. The whole thing is
saying, point blank, fuck you, we don't care about the
environment, we like our current riches, myopia and hedonism
are out best friends.

So what's the good of us knowing this? I just feel even more
miserable now.

Saturating the US with more knowledge. If anything it turns
one more vote away from the next George W.

I have no faith in the voting process. I do not know of a
*single* person who voted for W.

sorry, the 'of' should be omitted; point is I had no
personal interaction with anyone who voted for him. Those
who did are just a big, mythical group of assholes.

I hope the rest of the world takes a dump on us for this.
Maybe China can stop loaning us money, and also put all
their american dollars on the market. hahaha. Additionally
EU should place steep tariffs on us.

Votes are power for politicians; less votes, less power.

All you can do is vote. Put your grain of sand if it makes

Some Americans should be forced to read Either-Or,
especially the part about how the aesthete sees choices as
without value because no matter what he chooses, it'll turn
out bad, so he might as well not choose, which is indeed
just another choice, but since that, too, will turn out bad,
it doesn't matter.

The aesthete is not someone you want to be.
