Pretty incredible, dont have it, just the movie, but its
just so darn cool, glitchy, irreverent, jazz...my idea of
high mark for OSTs right now...

its very col, its Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean that worked on
Sandman and other adult fantasies, at Vertigo comics...its
like nothing out there..Dark Crystal is cool in your elfs
and goblin kind of way..this creates anentirely new
mythology and cosmology..

I'll probably get it to check it out. I keep watching
muppets season 1... it's a pretty lame show mostly with a
few good parts. But labyrinth/dark crystal/never ending
story are some of my favorite movies and their puppetyness
has a surreal realness quality computer animation doesn't
really have. I think they sang that same song in one of
these episodes though.

That's one of those things I should check out simply for the
nostalgia if nothing else. I already used up most of the nes
game nostalgia (tmnt 1 being the most potent for me). It
brings back broken fragments of ancient memories and general
feelings right into the present, pieces of which are still
perfectly preserved.

you make so much sense. I'm a nostalgia seeker. On a nice
day I'll go outside and sometimes I'll catch a scent in the
air that takes me to when I was 4. And I'll remember that
entire day. I love the smell of mouldy carpets. It brings me
back to when me and my friend had a snes in his shed and
played junglebook and super metroid.

I only liked the track close to you. I remember that scene.
Only good part of the shit green screen film. Could have
been a good film, if made with actual sets, and prosthetics.
I can't stand this fake cgi shit, ruins it for me.

not a big CGI fan myself but the medium fitted Dave MeKeans
sense of design and aesthetics perfectly, this cut up
collage with paint style is something he has perfected a
long time ago and it was thrilling seeing his
painting/artwork come to life here...as far as CGI is
concerned, it sucks at imitating life or concepts that have
been with us for ages(ghouls ghosts goblins vampires,
fairies, werewovlves etc) and have been recreated rather
beautifully with animatronics and other lifelike techniques
(i.e things that actually register on film) but here when
creating entrely new lifeforms that have little or no
anthropomorphic qualites...it was perfect..

Saw it and mostly thought it sucked. Lots of boring dialogue
and the whole thing has like a big bloated complex made by a
committee feel (like pretty much every videogame or thing
produced today (including flash 8).
