Hallo, can anyone help me please. I have over 100,000 files
in my temp internet folder which I can't see and are taking
up over 8gb. It's my work PC so I have limited access to
certain things but I can go in the folder, it's just there's
nothing there when I do - yet if I click properties it racks
up this massive amount of shit.

The only thing I can do is set the folder's attributes, I
can't turn off hidden files but I can stop them being
read-only, which I've just done, and it's going through all
the crap in there now. In an ideal universe this means all
the files will be visible next time I go in but probably
not, so any ideas? Sorry for the length and dullness of this
post

i'm guessing you have priviledges to view the folder, but
not the contents?

in which case there's not much you can do....probably?

i dunno. i'm an Atari head now.

try setting a max limit for your temp internet files in
internet explorer properties if that doesnt work.

I'm not going near IT they outsourced a year ago to a bunch
of tards, plus this might be seen as somewhat excessive
internet use (11.9gb and counting)... I think oscillik is
right and I am stuck with em

Try taking out the hard disk and scraping it with a knife as
you would scrape the burned part off toast. Guaranteed to
work.

Internet Explorer - Internet Options - General - Browsing
History - Delete? Too obvious?

I think that certain portions of IE can be disabled.

I'll disable your portion. I've never heard such
nonsense in all my life. The IT Dept in 1995, all of whom
have since died in a freak DOS accident, saw fit to lock
your temp internet folder back in the days when the entire
Internet could fit on a floppy disc. However, their
shortsightedness looks set to make the Y2K bug look even
more of a sham than it was, as Swansea is taken out by a
temp folder stuffed with more backdated bollocks than
Archive.org.

I sorted it, couldn't access internet options through
explorer but I could in control panel, oddly.

Redrum: You are in more dire need of a blow job than any
white man in history. Yes, even more than Sgt Major Dickison
