What I don't understand is, what is this drive towards conservatism, why do all these religious extremists or ultra orthodox types all want, basically, to live under a restrictve dictatorship where there actions are heavily curtailed and regulated? Why would you actively seek to have that imposed? Does it all really come down to something as feeble as misogyny? |

It's easier to not have to choose. Bingo. There's a mindset that finds strict tradition, orthodoxy and custom amazingly comforting like a warm wooly blanket. Well, probably everyone does at times, depending on mood and circumstance, but some people are stuck there permanently. They're morally immature. |

And turn in repentance to Allah together, O you the faithful, in order that you are successful |
