Friendship is over-rated these days in the mad rush to be popular (see myspace, bebo, et al). There seems to be more pressure these days to be "sociable" and interact at every moment with other people. Personally, I can't handle more than a couple of hours of anyone else: it varies from time to time when I feel like being social, but it's no big thing for me. I have my music & my writing, and nothing except my daughter matches that. |
