Channel 4 - Trick or Treat.

I have nothing better to do with my time.

I'm afraid I must have received some subliminal messages
from Derren via the advertising making me think it is crap,
so I don't think I'll watch.

Peep show is on tonight, I'll watch that instead.

... but Peep Show is awful.

hmm, I dunno. Each to their own I guess. I can empathise
with Peep Show a hell of a lot more than Darren Brown.
Anyway, it's on now, so I will bid you goodnight.

Watched both. They were both great.

Remember those incredible magic shows where they would run
on streets doing tricks and then leave the people wondering,
while the camera man always stayed behind to shoot the
people doing the -omg-what?-how'd he?-faces and then it
turned out the people on the streets were part of the show's
cast?

That was lame.

I remember seing the dude from "shaun of the dead" as a
random contestant once (long before he was popular).

It's bullshit.

This week's trick was awesome - having that guy convinced he
was the ventriloquist's dummy: mondo coolness.

It was genuinely creepy when I realised that it was the
victim speaking as the dummy, don't you think? At first, I
thought it was Derren (maybe it was and then the victim took
over?).

I have spent the last three days at home (i have shingles)
watching Derren Brown on youtube. I can't get enough of his
shows!

My favoutites are the bank-robbery, the birthday present and
the piano girl......... and the vegas one where he makes the
girl think red is black....... and the voodoo doll..........
and the dog-track.

I'm intrigued by the suggestion techniques he uses which
seem to be somewhat based upon NLP.

And i'm sure that he has used stooges, and we only see the
successful attempt (of course), but still, great viewing.
