Is SONIC FOUNDRY ACID PRO 4.0 the best way to go?
What does everyone else here use to mix?

Acid is up to 6.0, so no, 4.0 isn't the best way to go. I
use Acid.

Adobe audition is my suggestion. It sounds great, has very
sophisticated DSP functions, allows you to record multiple
channels, supports both vst and dx plug-ins with automations
and such. I have mastered probably around 20 hours worth of
audio with it, and I swear by it.
